Looking to make some money off of my facebook page - 771k likes

Hey guys, I don't really know where to start with this so I figured I'd ask here.

I am the sole owner of the most popular Slenderman fan page on facebook. It can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/dial0forslendy

I have 771k likes, all of which are completely natural. I have not used any marketing tools to get more likes. I've just been posting as Slenderman for the past few years, and people apparently like it

------------------------

Here are some stats:

4,721 talking about this
109,379 weekly total reach

Most popular country: USA (makes up about 236k of the likes)

Demographics: 71.9% male, 28% female, mostly 13-17 and 18-24

------------------------

I occasionally use the page to advertise my freelance design portfolio (I also designed a DVD cover for Marble Hornets, so it's related to the page more or less). But other than that, I've never taken advantage of my constantly increasing likes.

I'm a complete beginner at this, so it'd be awesome if someone could give me some tips on how to make some money off of this page---preferably while maintaining its integrity (i.e. I want to retain my creative control, since that's why people like the page in the first place---I've noticed that whenever I try advertising something, I see a notable increase in the amount of dislikes for that day).

Thanks!

By the way, I'm sorry if this type of thread isn't allowed. Feel free to delete it if that's the case.

Problem is.. age group 13-24 tend to NOT buy anything online - lack of money, no credit card, still in school -

Unless you sale the page I really doubt that you could make some money out of it.

    Good luck

How did you grow your page from 0 likes? Did you share your page with anybody?

Anyways, my advice is to create a website (eg: slenderman.com), put a 3-4 google ads on it using google adsense, then put a facebook share and like button on your website. start posting content on your website and use the share button to share your content on to your facebook page. Your objective is to drive traffic from facebook to your website. you can earn revenue if people click on the ads on your website.

19 year olds DO buy stuff online and there's many ways you can monetize that number of fans.

•Create a zazzle account and sell other people's Slenderman products (believe me, there are thousands to choose from). Post a product using a referral link, use sponsored stories if you need to push it to more of your fans. You'll get a cut of every sale as a referral and you don't have to spend time creating the designs or worrying about copyright (if the guys who do the game decide to mess with you).

I'd stick with tshirts, stickers, hoodies, buttons, and cellphone cases, those sell really well.

•Create a book. There's many "single-topic" blogs out there who've released books of the content of the page (plus some extras sometimes). I didn't visit your page, but if you think this is something your fans would like (you can put a teaser there and gauge the reaction) you'll definitely make good money with it.

You can hire a designer on fiverr or odesk to do it, you'd be spending less than $100 and will probably recoup that really quick.

Hope this helps man! Don't forget to tip if you become a millionaire.

Very cool, site. Have them subscribe to a list and sell some things to them.

If these likes are artificial and you have no activity there (comments, likes, reposts) the best thing you cand do about this FB page is to sell it.

This is a good starting point. Your audience are teenage boys and young adults. Most of them are not on Facebook to buy anything, but to have fun and meet new people. With statistics like that I wouldn't even bother to try to sell them something, as it will take an eternity to make a sale.

I'd concentrate on PPC systems like MyLikes, that should work well.

Sell it or change the name and try promoting affiliate products...

I'm going to have to disagree with all the folks who say that the tweens/teens don't buy. My 10 year old has the fastest Buy It Now finger on earth, and if it has to do with Minecraft, he will wear me down until I get it.

The key is how to buy. Microsoft XBOX has a built in Marketplace for add ons. Can you affiliate with that and send links so they buy it there? Or any video game. There are people who make ad money from sites like what you've done on facebook, but on websites they control, and sell ad space or affiliate products.

Your target demographic is actually the highest grossing segment for sales. I just did an analysis with Piano Wizard for their tween iPad game and it was amazing! So posting affiliate links for Fandango when new movies come out, amazon affiliate links for Slenderman clothing, etc. will make you cash!

You would have to do a complete reconditioning of your fans, and it may cost you a lot of reach.

That page is not designed to make money the way it is currently set up

But he's not producing revenue and sometimes you have to let go of the "people" who aren't carrying their weight

Actually, I think he can push the traffic to his own site and use Adsense, or some other advertising to monetize. 700k real likes is no joke. Don't you ever criticize Slenderman
