images for FB ads

Where are you all buying images for FB ads? I'm pretty new to FB ads and want to make sure we don't run into any copyright issues. Can you use a site like iStockphoto and purchase a photo, and then use it for FB ads? Sorry if this is a "dumb question" - just want to make sure we're using legitimate / legal sources for FB ads, with no copyright issues.

    There are many stock images websites in the web where you can buy those images at a little cost.What I did to run a campaign was,I went to Google images,refined the search settings as "moderation allowed" and search for the relevant images.After some moderation in the image border in Photoshop I uploaded them for FB ads without any problem.(this is a free technique I personally used but best is to purchase them

    Professional stock photos just don't attract the clicks, home made looking photos often do better. Some of the free, public domain libraries have usable images, since they are relatively fleeting, some don't worry a lot about where they get their photos.

    (Ther was one woman who appeared on a free image site, though the photographer released the photo she had differences when she was represented as single and looking or in need of STD medication and ended up suing advertisers)

      Most of the times I am creating my own images. When I need specific photo I go to SXH.hu. Most of the times I can find what I need there. In case I can't find what I'm looking for, I search for the images using the compfight.com.

      I always search for images under Creative commons license, and I always respect all the rights.

    Facebook now have a partnership with Shutterstock. Once integrated there should be a stock images tab in the add creator and access to a good few million images

    I also think it's better to make your own images and I also have just read about the partnership between Facebook and Shutterstock. Hopefully, this will make it more convenient when creating ads.

    One downside to iStock is that any standard license they offer limits image use to 499,999 views. Once you tip the 500K barrier you may need an extended license.
