Starting from scratch on Facebook

Hello fellows,

I was beating around the bush for a month already and now I feel I need to start everything from scratch with page on Facebook to be able to place an ad for the app.

Just ask you for an opinion...

There's one thing I can't avoid even in new account: physically I'm located in Ukraine and the card i'm going to add up on the account is issued on my name but by the company located in Cyprus and obviously by the Cyprus bank as the company's headquarters are located there.

Now I'm planning to start my personal acc with my real name which will be the same as the name of the card I'm going to add up on the account. Truly state my location and details. Create the company's page with this new account and add this acount to app admins to be able to place ads for the add. It is possible not to get banned this way? Or is there any way/probably somebody's experience of getting through difference in bank account and physical and IP location?

Please share your ideas. Thanks.

Linking the PayPal account is definitely the easiest way.

However, the place where your account is opened shouldn't create any problems as long as all your information match. As far as I know, there is no limitations in what country you can open the bank account so you can use it to pay something on the internet.

Also, one of my clients has virtual assistant located in different continent. VA is using client's credit card to pay Facebook ads via client's Facebook account and no matter of the IP difference there has never been any issues.

Thanks a lot for sharing your ideas.

For the Paypal - if I link this bank account to Paypal, I suppose they will stil be able to track it's location..

But anyway, should the Paypal be better with FB than a card?

Paypal is simpler, not necessarily better. Personally, I prefer credit cards, a lot of other people prefer Paypal. The result is the same - fees are charged no matter if you enter a card number or a PayPal account

You don't have, by the chance, prepaid cards available in your country? That would solve all your problems.

    I live in Ukraine.

Is prepaid cards something you can get Facebook Credits with? Can you buy ads with Credits? I thought it's sort of the in-app currency that you can only pay for FB gifts and some app stuff with.

Please correct me if i'm wrong.

    Thanks.

I was talking about prepaid credit cards. Some banks offer this kind of service - you just go to the bank, ask for a prepaid card, they put your information on it, you pay fees and the amount of money that will be available on the card and you have a fully valid card from your city. Features vary depending on the bank but the result is always the same - credit card from your city that can be used for online payments.

  • Try asking your bank if they have debit cards or credit cards exclusively for online use. my husband's bank has this option.
