Best way to promote Facebook Contest?

SOCIAL NETWORKS

Lets say I have a budget of $100 to promote my contest on Facebook. What would be the best way to promote my contest - promoted post or leveraging Facebook ads?

Here is a bit of background of my Facebook page:

1. 8300 ~ likes
2. 50% CR on entry form
3. I am using Woobox as contest medium
4. Contest is valued at $200 and lasts for 2 weeks.

Just encourage the people to share like your contest page in order to enter the contest.
New visitors will come and will enter your contest.

One way for you to do that is via Facebook ads. You have a fan page that talks about your contest, and then promote it to targeted Facebook members via Facebook ads. However, if you can't afford, just go to relevant Facebook fan pages or groups and share your own contest.

FB ads without a doubt. It's costly running a contest with third party apps plus the prize so you might as well get as much bang for your buck as possible with new likes and/or subscribers.

  If you haven't started the contest yet, it's a good idea to drum up excitement by posting about it a few days to weeks prior. You can even have fans make suggestions on the prize or show an image of the prize telling fans to LIKE it if they want to win it.
  
  This will help increase the popularity once the actual contest launches.
  
  I prefer FB ads in the news feed to promote the contest.
