How valuable is a Facebook audience?
My website gets a reasonable number of visitors (around 40k per month) and is very much in a growth phase. It's only a few months old and traffic is steadily increasing.
However - until today - I've never really tried to build a social media following, aside from setting up a Twitter account.
Today, I've created a Facebook page and started running Facebook ads to gain likes for that page. It seems to be working well so far, with a steady stream of likes coming in.
I've currently set a Facebook ad budget of £2 per day, but I'm really unsure about how to judge whether this is too much or too little.
I guess this may be a difficult question to answer, but in your opinion, would you say that it's worth spending hundreds of pounds over the next few months to build up a large Facebook audience? Am I likely to see a return, or will those people basically just stay on facebook or ignore my page, not earning me anything..?
My site generates revenue through Adsense and Amazon Affiliate links.
Any thoughts greatly appreciated!
