Why I gave Twitter the boot..

I few years ago I was making lots of sales using twitter using tweetadder etc. Had 60,000 followers on my main account. But Twitter then started targeting anyone using software they suspended all my accounts. I think Twitter is fine but if you want to use it to build a serious business income.. Then you are gambling on what mood the twitter employees are in on that day..

So personally I would say have a Twitter account but don't waste too much time or energy on it. Plus now with no automation tools hardly working makes it even more of a pain in the butt...

Better stick to Facebook,VK,or the new ENV2 Platform launching soon.. If you want to be able to have a chance of a solid business foundation.. And even Facebook is dodgy.. With all their crazy algorithyms..

    Twitter are a weird company in terms of suspending people for posting or following.

    Yeah I suppose they are trying to catch the people abusing the system.

    But still...

    This exactly is the biggest disadvantage of social media marketing. Social networks can kill your business at a click of a button. They always fight with marketers. The saying ''free traffic costs more than paid traffic'' proves to make sense again. Thanks for sharing your story. I think it's also worth to stick to YouTube, at least no automation tools are needed.

    That's like saying "don't bother with seo because google changes all the time"!!! Of course it's worth using Twitter, it's one of the most popular sites in the world. Now if you're spamming it and spending a lot of time and money doing so then, no, it's not worth it. But if you want to get traffic and connect with your market then Twitter is great. There's no single safe and unchangeable method or site on the internet - that's just the way it is.

    I think the lesson to learn is to diversify. Use a variety of tools and ways to get traffic. I get a large percentage of my traffic from Twitter.... but I also have other sources for traffic. At any point I can switch over and use other sources to generate traffic. Twitter recently went after people using automation software. I think they were targeting people who follow other people aggressively. I follow only a max of 200 people a week. Most weeks its around 100. So I should be safe but the people who were following 1000+ a week or even a day got screwed.
