For branding, promotion and getting huge traffic, Facebook is best option..No one will deny that. You can use Google Plus, as Google loves Google's product

i have yet to try it, but i received an email about google communities and how it's an excellent source of traffic. they said they received 54 visitors from 1 post.

For now, Facebook is much better than Google Plus. If I were you, just don't stick only to one source. You can use other ones like Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, etc. From there, you can make a difference there by building your own brand and may even gain some social authority.

it really depends on what you want to do. Won't mention how you can use Facebook because it's something everyone knows.

however few people know how to use Google plus. One of my favorite uses is Hangouts which is currently the best low cost way to create a webinar. Another huge advantage of G plus is that it isn't as saturated as Facebook therefore when you add something new more ppl see it

Between G+ and Facebook, I prefer Facebook. I've tried using G+ for marketing my site, but found it hard. I still use it alongside the other top social media sites but it doesn't generate a lot of traffic. With Facebook, I find it a lot easier to connect with people and spread your page around faster.

I think FB has a head start is what it really is. True right now FB has more ad revenue, more traffic, and even more options.

But that being said, they are also getting slow and bogged down, GPlus is cleaner in some ways.

And never ever count Google out, they have a good track record for starting slow but finishing on top.

Yahoo, Alta Vista, and Lycos never took Google serious either. Two of those three you may not even remember lol

Not at all agree with you ! Facebook's also getting better these days they're serving niche based pages, e.g; if you like Eminem page, they will show you more similar Eminem pages in sidebars or bottom. So, not targeting customers is just a myth. Facebook has their own analytics, probably best than Google. And fb groups are quite easy to use rather than G+.

You failed to mention the fact that Google+ doesnt yet have nearly as much reach, and thus TRAFFIC, as Facebook.

Here's a telling stat from one of my high traffic sites for this month so far.

Out of 84K unique visitors and 113K total visitors, only 14 (yes FOURTEEN) came from Google+

Let that soak in...

Now with that said, I don't put any effort into Google+ aside from having it in my social buttons on top of each post.

However, I don't put any effort into Stumbleupon and BARELY any effort into SEO aside from getting some tags in and bolding some would be potential keyword phrases within content and this month alone I've gotten 1970 and 1664 from each respectively.

I think Facebook is more useful because it has more users compare to Gplus. Gplus is product of Google. So, Google is more concentrate on Gplus sharing. Apart from this FB is more useful compare to Gplus.
Twitter, Linkedin and Pinterest are other Popular Social Media that you used for social media marketing.

For marketing, you should use FB. Besides, you could try others social media such as: Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Tumblr, Instagram. You also find niche social networks targeted on your customers.

Facebook is miles better than Google+ in my opinion. There are so many more ways you can connect with your audience and reach out to new members. Not to mention it's the biggest social network in the world, and is perfect for marketers if it's utilized right. Google+ can be good, however I often struggle to get leads and direct people back to my site.

Different markets between the two. Nowadays Facebook is mostly for us old folks. Younger people don't much want to be on the same site as their parents.

Also, Google is in a much stronger position than Facebook. I think Google+ has a better chance (as long as Google doesn't drop the ball like they have on other projects). Google+ goes hand in hand with the direction of the Google algorithm changes. I don't actually see them dropping it to be honest.

Facebook is on top of all in promoting and marketing a brand, it gives you a huge traffic and popularity. Even then stick with Google+, it helps you in ranking in google search. The other sites you can use are pinterest, twitter, stumbleupon, reddit, and other social bookmarking sites.

G+ is more better than Facebook recntly I was searching for what is better but not get affirmative answers on internet which let that G+ is better but after I came to G+ and publish all my posts to it then page views are rapidly increased because there is an option to post the post directly to the page circle Which help visitor to came on such page

suppose you posts to Facebook it will just shown only in the timeline or when it shared by any one then he know what have you posts But in G+ things are different that post not only shown on your page but also in G+ circle,this social media may be good for Start-Ups for reaching audience

Both have their own advantages and disadvantages. I think with Google+, it's more targeted but your audience reach is limited. On the other hand, Facebook is broad but you have more chances of reaching more people. You get more exposure and it can greatly help in boosting your social presence.

its not even remotely close. Something like 80% of Google + users are inactive which really pulls down the average time a day they are on that site (3 minutes) compared to 90 minutes for average user on pinterest. But getting back to FB/Google you want to spend your advertising money and energies on facebook.
