Anyone ever bought followers?

I was wondering if you guys have ever bought followers for twitter for business or personal reasons?

I have read some on Devumi, but I was looking for a safe place to buy them from that won't scam me or make me lose them over time. Devumi claims that you don't lose followers, but you may lose some overtime.

I've never bought followers. IMO they are all fake and not targeted. I do a lot of incentivizing on my websites so I bought a social locker plugin for $16. It was well worth it because it converted my visitors into followers. Look for Ijanki's share locker.

I generally slam a quick 1000 onto any new facebook page for $5. Social proof.

If you're trying to buy REAL followers. Followers are bought via ads. Otherwise they're not target. What's the incentive for a "bought" follower to follow you? They're certainly not raising their hand as qualified prospects for your offer.

Personally I'd like to just increase my followers another 20k, and then just follow a target audience after that.
It doesn't matter to me whether what I buy is target or not, or completely real or not. I just wanted to increase it like I said and then I'd go back to following the way I have been following.

Approach other niche related big Facebook/Twitter pages and ask them to promote for you. I gained 600ish FB fans for $50 by doing this. Most people will be happy to if your page is quality and offers something of value. As no one is going to want to promote a page to their followers that they would receive badly. Facebook fans are very moody haha, be careful!

DO NOT buy ANY fans for any social platform, it is a waste of money. All fans will be fake accounts, and give you nothing in return, so what's the point on spending money on them. I spend $31 (fb monthly minimum) on any fan page i create, target it well, i usually get 4 fans per $1, it's a great start. PM me if you need a hand

Yea, I purchased once from fiverr. That cheat instantly gave me 10k followers, and after 3 days of gig completion, 9k followers are gone.
My 5 bucks ended in smoke.

Well said. It's totally rubbish. No need to buy followers, simply increase it manually design your profile, post update etc.

I didn't buy followers for my Twitter account. I generated them through my own blog posts, email list, FB fan page and group, etc. Content engagement is one key that a reader may be following you on Twitter, or even join your FB fan page for good.

With so many free avenues out there the paid methods to me became less of use. I understand that most "free" twitter followers will not be targeted followers but I post good content that become retweeted and find that my target usually finds me.

There is an explosion of services that claim to increase the number of twitter followers,
as this type of service is regarded as highly needed, but over the course of the last years, besides socialfanmonster, I can hardly count what other social media service has stood the test of time

I actually tested this, wll not from "buying" but from addmefast site alone. I started a new twitter, only grew twitter followers from addmefast and had retweets on several tweets. days and weeks later had began gaining newer followers, not from addmefast or services like it but just from the initial start of it. I believe its mostly about you, if people like what you have to say you'll get noticed.

Personally I wouldn't, as they are not real followers but folk using software bots to create fake profiles. Most people who seem to have ordered these type of packages end up losing most of them after a certain period.

It's funny how many "buy follower" services are out there. I would really recommend staying away from all of them. If you can pay money and have your account loaded up with fake accounts/followers, then that's pretty much what you are going to get.

However there are some better alternatives. Sites like twiends.com and twittercounter.com will give your account exposure and people will manually like and follow you. These are real accounts.

The services and followers are real, but they will also cost you more money.

Stay away from buying Twitter followers. Twitter does not allow more than 100 following/followers a day. They will block your account. Anyone having more than 2k followers is under a special scope.

I tried a gig with only 1000 followers as an experiment and the account got blocked immediatelly with no way back.

I think that buying followers is generally a bad idea. Definitely no value at all and a high risk to get banned.

So twitter will ban you for buying followers even if you're not following them back? I'm not sure I believe that unless they suspend you because of the followers being fake. If that were the case then Obama, and other celebs would be banned since a good portion of their followers are fake. Also, another point, if twitter only allows 100 followers to follow you a day, celebs would be gone in a minute because they build more than 100 in a 5 hour period, especially if they're new.

According to my experience increasing the number of following or followers too quickly will lead to account suspension. I think that Twitter checks every suspicious activity. Celebrities and famous people's accounts have probably some individual settings.

You can try it yourself - create an account and buy 1000 followers, or simply follow 200 people in one day. I believe that the account gets suspended. I might be wrong, but this is my experience with several accounts, not only one.

We've done a ton of testing with it, don't buy them.

Free services works quite fine... they do take time but its worth it, especially if the profiles are in the same category - after some time, it begins to grow outside of the exchange...

Like I stated above, I'm not worried if the users are Target or even real tweeters. I'm just looking to jump my followers another 20k, and then I'll follow a target audience. I also would like to try and find a site that didn't drop your followers after you have gained them. Devumi claims to not make you lose followers except overtime you may lose followers naturally. I just didn't know how reputable they were or if there was anyone that was more trusted.

Buying followers is all essentially useless unless your sole intention is to raise the number of followers you have - but don't think selling to them, marketing to them or anything else is effective.

Find a relevant authority in a niche and follow their followers, some will follow you back. Interact with them, more will find you.

    Rinse and repeat.

    hi josh

Never bought fans or likes. I've bought solo ads.

If you care about brand image, you could buy some likes/fans, but they're not worth it to your business, other than showing some fake numbers

If you care about your business and bottom line profits, I'd invest in ads on FB, or sponsored posts... do your research and see which works best, and which case

I'm still experimenting with this myself, so I don't have stats to report yet...

    Does it help?

I bought 2500 followers from fiverr about a month ago. The adds were slow but consistent, and in a day I had 2500 followers. They were real "looking" accounts (picture, plausible name, and active tweets about a topic that seemed to fit their persona.)

After a few hundred I realized they were automated accounts (fake) based on the name /handle. each one was CamelCase7 format.....LindaBlair9.

So initially i was disappointed. but what I have found is that these 2500 (who have stayed following me)

Then I found the icing on the cake... From my own tweets, about niches, i was getting 10+ new followers per day. I have tested this same posting pattern with an account with no followers, and I get no followers. My explanation is that people notice the tweets (search, hashtag) and think it might be an interesting /like minded tweeter, and, with 2800 followers, I must have something good to say!!!

So if you can keep them, fake followers can have benefit.

The best thing is to do it manually engage in your activities and make it more big and widespread and it will help you.

Followers that you purchase aren't targeted and therefore don't offer any value to you apart from making your account look more followed. Bought followers rarely if ever engage with anything you tweet, so don't go expecting them to go to your site and opt in for a newsletter. If you are still wanting to purchase them, there are a lot of gigs on Fiverr that do this.

I've got experience with buying followers - not a path to choose if you are building a serious online venue. Like someone up there said, they are not targeted.

You can have 10k individuals sitting in your Facebook page without receiving a single like/share/comment when you share some cool stuff from your website. If you want followers instead of "followers" you will have to work hard to get them but it really pays back.

If you're aiming for Social proof or you just put up a new twitter profile, it's not a bad idea. Reason being most people will follow someone who they perceive as important, no one likes to see you're following 1,000 people and only 100 following back

But, the only downfall to it is most of your followers will disappear - some in weeks, some in a couple of months but they never really stick and that's due to the sellers database being sold over and over from places like fiverr and not because of twitter.

Twitter allows you to buy followers, they don't frown upon that. They're services that actually provide real followers, much more expensive and time consuming, twitter just doesn't like where some sellers try to manipulate their database using spam tactics etc. But all in all, if you're trying to get a new brand started - good for social proof, until you can really build up real followers.

I don't suggest buying followers. They never seem to last and they will never be interested in your product thus no sharing and no liking nothing which is essentially what you want and need with social networking.

It might look good at first but most accounts are fake and some people are bound to notice. I suggest to instead invest your money in ad placement which will get you followers that will actually be interested in your product.

I agree with nexus2. I've bought 20k followers before. they go away eventually. I also purchased a social locker plugin for WP that intergrated with my facebook app. What was the coolest was that I found that woobox(facebook app) is totally free and you can enable 3 kinds of lockers on it.

On 1 tab I just plugged in my Getresponse web form as the locker, offered a free strategy or report that was set up automatically in autoresponder and viola! Instant subscribers. Then promoted the sharable link for the tab that woobox gives you in the settings tab via paid ad and post in various groups related to your niche.

On tab 2 Did exact same thing and made the locker require to like page and share the tab. Woobox facebook app is great and FREE.

Just a jewel there for you

For what it's worth I'll offer an analogy I've given before:

Let's say you have a new bar that just opened and you want to make it look busy. So, you hire some kids to line up outside of it. Seeing the line might get other people lining up, but if when they get into your bar, there are no real customers there (or the food and tunes suck), will they stay or return?

You can't buy love or likes for that matter.

    Regards,
    jim

I purchased Twitter followers from Devumi. I thought they would deliver quality followers who hadn't posted regularly. Devumi says the followers will never unfollow you, and the company says they'll even over deliver just in case you lose some followers. Funny how it isn't explained why a customer would lose some followers if the followers are guaranteed not to unfollow.

The problem is that Twitter searches for shady Twitter accounts and deletes them. Devumi delivers followers within hours which puts your account at risk of looking shady - gradual adding seems to be of little concern to Devumi.

Devumi claims to refund the money if you request it within 30 days of using their services. But will that matter if the account becomes compromised i.e. looks bad or gets banned?

Twitter will remove fake accounts, the loss of followers is because Devumi delivers LOW QUALITY followers. The accounts are not acceptable to Twitter so they are deleted. Devumi says they overdeliver just in case something in the Twitter update causes a loss of followers. Read between the lines: Devumi expects the customer to lose followers because they are delivering what is actually against Twitter's TOS. Why else would hundreds of followers vanish overnight?

Devumi offers different packages and it will look worse if you buy hundreds of thousands of followers only to have them vanish within days or weeks of purchase.

Devumi is SHADY! They should be avoided like the plague.

Use your efforts to get organic followers. There are reputable companies that will help you find Twitter followers, the drawback is that you're paying them to find people for you to follow. Even though they're likely very targeted, why spend money on that? But that is a better option than using Devumi which delivers nothing of value, but pockets your hard earned money.

If enough people learn how Devumi operates, maybe it will turn off buyers to the point they go out of business.

          Yep.

when I had 137 followers, nobody bothered to reply to my tweets.

I buy 2k followers for every new Twitter account that I start. I agree with everyone about them being fake and not interacting. However, that is not their value to me.

Their value is in the raised ROI, investment = time spent creating engagement.
Example. One Twitter account posts great content, follows targeted users, replies, etc. With a brand new account, no followers, I see a 2-3% engagement per 1000 actions.

Alternatively with a brand new account, 2k+ fake followers, I get around 11-15% engagement per 1000 actions. That's over 5 times ROI for time spent on Twitter. The same principle applies for me when using ads to generate interest.

A note on the followers I buy. Make sure they are REAL looking accounts, not necessarily real. If your account has 2k eggs and no tweets followers it looks terrible. If it has 2k with profiles and consistent tweets then even TwitterAudit can't tell they are fake. Also use a website that gives you a money back guarantee on the service and replacement on lost followers.

I also use this same principle for Instagram, but make sure to purchase likes as well since 10k followers & 3 likes per photo looks terrible as well.

I'm happy to give you the name of the site I use for all of my purchases, but I don't think I can post it here.

Does anyone else use real looking followers to gain social clout and monitize it? If so how?

              That's very true.

That's just the straight fast way, and the good thing is that Twitter still shows all your tweets to your followers. Without asking you to pay extra

While Facebook wants to charge you for each message you post. Otherwise, not even 1% of your Facebook followers (fans likes) will ever get to see your post

Twitter looks ugly on the outside, but the results and the sales it brings on daily basis, and all for free, without any need to spend any money for ads, makes Twitter still be the closest to the "goose that lays golden eggs"
as it can get in 2016

You should NEVER buy followers. Huge numbers may be impressive to others for the first ten minutes. But people see through the fluff quickly.

Fake followers are a great way to waste money and get banned by Twitter too.

buying followers or fans is not a good idea and - honestly spoken - everyone who sells them is just trying to talk you into this. It's a pretty easy thought. FB and Twitter have a LOT of data. So, the can determine what type of profile/page you have and they pretty much know exactly whats the average engagement rate for follower/fans given your geo/profile/activity/content. So, when you buy follower/fans, they will either be inactive or unnaturally active. Both will be detected by the algorithms of FB/Twitter. Your profile/page might not get banned for this, but your quality score will decrease which will result in less organic reach overall. So you're actually slamming yourself before you get to reach anyone... I had to go through that experience myself and it did hurt.

I have never bought followers and have no intention of buying them any time soon. The reason is because most of the followers that are sold are usually passive and hence wont help you do any marketing. It could have been a good ideas if at all the followers you purchase are active and within your niche. Buying followers from persons you even don't know what they are interested in proves to be challenging. You better gain the followers naturally and be sure that they will be your audience when need rather than having numbers that have no value.

There are plenty of website sells twitter followers but it should not help you to promote your business, they are just bot and not real people.

One real follower worth is more than million bot / fake followers.

I never tried to buy twitter follower but I think it may harm your account!

You better try twitter marketing service or twitter advertising that can bring real followers for your business.

Take into consideration that Hillary Clinton bought more than 2 (TWO) millions twitter followers:

More than 2 MILLION of Hillary Clinton's Twitter followers are fake or never tweet | Daily Mail Online

And this way, Hillary Clinton will be the next United States president.

If it was something bad, she wouldn't have done it. But it definitely shows it helps her
to have such tremendous number of followers on Twitter

Actually it is interesting how the only people who are against getting large numbers of twitter followers by making campaigns for getting them (buying them) are only the same ones as those who always
look for everything for free, without any investment other than their time

The point of buying Fake Followers is to show Social Proof and to use them in conjunction with other Marketing efforts.

People follow pages that look popular, that's why you would kickstart your page with Fake followers to increase your conversions of Real Organic followers.

No matter if you buy Twitter, Instagram followers they will drop over time. This is because the accounts get deleted.

but the hard truth is that not even 0.001% of twitter users ever bother to check
if someone's followers are fake or real

while about 99.9% of twitter users do judge you based on the number of followers that you have

You obviously have zero experience with Twitter, but I appreciate that you felt the need to jump in here and give someone else advice.

The reason "fake" versus "real" matters is because of ENGAGEMENT. When you have 10,000 followers and your posts are getting zero likes, zero retweets, and zero comments, it kills your authority.

I never buy followers for twitter and other social media site.

Buying followers if totally worthless! I have joined in twitter in 2012 ans since then I build up some twitter pages and start posting my business related content. At first I promoted my blog and affiliate links and few month later I can see plenty of growth of my followers and earning. Then I take decision to promote other peoples in my network which has now 760,000 plus followers. I am getting regular order from my customers because I have no fake followers and my followers are organic!

One organic followers worth is more than million fake followers. When someone interested in your posting they may follow you and when they find something beneficial for them they may buy it but fake followers / buying followers can't do it!

I haven't read all the comments, so excuse me if someone already made this point.

I have never personally bought followers, though I have sold them. Let me explain exactly how fake followers (we'll use twitter followers only for an example) work.

I will look around various forums first to find and gather Twitter account lists. It's very simple, and most packs come with at least 20-100k accounts. Free.

Use an account checker to weed out the inactive/banned accounts, and voila~ 100-300k twitter accounts to my disposal. Just like that, it took maybe an hour to get everything I need.

I used to use a free web-based service called z0mb1e for the actual job of getting all of those accounts to follow someone. It's as simple as uploading a .txt file with your accounts, entering the name you wish they would all follow, and a click of a button to do the deed.

It was completely worthless. Although it looked really cool to have a few hundred thousand followers, there was really no value in it whatsoever. Why? Because it's fake people, and fake people only have fake credit cards. No good for us. If there is any value in it, it's only so you don't look like a brand new page.

You will be lucky to find a service provider who can deliver real followers. These types of services are mainly used when people want to make their Social Media accounts appear more popular. This can make other people more inclined to the account because it is popular.

it's not a matter of luck. 99.99% of people on Twitter trust those with a large number of followers.

I've never met anyone who stalks twitter profiles and searches what kind of followers each account has. Nobody has so much free time to burn. Time is valuable

Never and it would be a waste of money. Fake accounts are worthless. Use that money to find real followers and you will be happy you did.

It's actually both a waste of time and a waste of money to be active in social media
without first getting at least minimum 1,000 followers for social proof, trust and credibility

The question of the OP of this thread is currently the most asked question in Social Media section of
    the Warrior Forum.

And most people just start new threads, just to ask this same exact question

  • Do paid shout outs with big IG accounts. Most have contact info in their bio. You can go to multiple accounts and either do a squeeze page with a link, or simply ask for the account to give you a shout out and send you some traffic. The investment is more, but the followers are real and don't drop in a few days. Be sure to look for accounts with lots of post activity, though. They need to be getting thousands of likes per photo.
