***** Don't BUY Facebook Likes!****

I bought some likes for a couple Fan pages a while back and the funny thing is you can actually market to them. But one of man fan pages had over 2600 likes and now it has alot less and this REALLY messes with the PR.
I would highly recommend getting natural likes to your fan pages.
Facebook doesn't like when you buy likes lol.
In the long run it's worth waiting for real people interested is the niche or content on your page!

Cheers

People have been telling others how utterly bad this is for as long as I have been around here on the WF (over a year) and people still dont listen.

If you buy facebook like, they like your page not because they actually like it, but for getting point.
There was a website for getting point by click "like" facebook fanpage.
Buying facebook like is not good, because they are untargeted visitor, It useless if you offer your product to them. They like your page just for fun

      Good advice

By the way, it's very possible to get even more REAL likes using Facebook ads than from buying them from Fiverr, Freelancer, etc. You just have to play around with targeting

Granted they might not be exactly the types of fans you're after, but hey, at least they're real

Facebook has a limited reach too. I'm not sure of the percent but from the back of my head I seem to remember someone saying each update only reaches 20% of your likes. (Of course if you get people commenting and liking more then more people will get your updates - Because Facebook will give them what they are interested in).

So say you had 50 real likes and then 950 bought likes, you'll have a 1 in 20 chance that your update will actually get read.

I'm going to disagree - In my experience, if you buy "Likes" through Facebook's own advertising platform, and limit them specifically to the demographics/interests you're targeting, whilst you won't get hundreds and thousands of likes for your "niche" when limiting your campaign in this way, the likes you do get tend to - for the most part - stick!

EVERYONE HERE .. (including you I suspect) knows that the subject that is being labeled as bad is not likes via Facebook ads.

But FB platform ad likes are not being discussed here. These are external likes from either unrelated websites, or from "like-selling" services (such as Fiverr gigs).

I suggest to all try to get natural likes. Now a days people are giving fake like. From my personal view i buy likes but after passing few days like reduce half of total likes. So bring natural likes for your fanpage

I have no idea why people buy likes, because, when you get those kind of likes that are bought for super cheap, they never interact with your posts. The ONLY reason you can really justify it is to help your ads look better that you run, but even doing it then is walking a grey line.

I always prefer facebook ads and post promotion over fake likes. facebook ads and post promotion are the best way you can target facebook users interest, country wise, and these likes are pure so they will not disappear

True. And I've noticed that a lot of the Like-Buying Services pull the Likes from Facebook members from specific foreign countries (I won't name them) that will appear unnatural for your marketing campaign. The likes will not stick and the members will not provide interaction.

facebook wants us to buy likes because i can see that on their ads they have the option to buy a like for 0.02$

so why would they care from where i buy it?

It's so unnatural to add facebook likes, if your not getting them 1 by 1 then I'm pretty sure they can be traced every single time.

Also, imagine how suspicious it looks to Facebook if you have 2000 likes on Monday and by Friday half your likes are gone. Don't you think th at's a clear sign that you purchased fake likes? And, what will they do? Most likely ban your page/account and all your hard work will be gone.

Another reason to take it slow and steady and focus on real likes are the results they bring.* It takes longer, but worth the effort as every real like equals a real person who could possibly read your blog or buy your product.

You can get LIKES very quickly with FB ads provided you focus on your target audience niche and use a Fangate set up.......but of course it will cost you a few $. FB doesn't give up great results for free!

Buying FB LIKES without any connection to your target audience seems like a waste of time and money to me.

I have a quick question. Would buying facebook likes, let's say around 100-200 people to initially trick people of your social proof; which gives more opportunity for real organic likes, be a good idea?

          Good question.

I am not totally disagree with your point of view. Because it's human nature.

But my suggestion will be for you to give a professional look to your page/pages. Upload high quality relevant cover photo, profile picture, page about and etc. Beside this your brand/website should be designed well.

And also post interesting things regularly to engage your existing visitors to your page/pages. If they like your post, page or any content, they will share it with his/her friends.

Buy only when you really need fake likes.. You can used fake to any contest as an emergency likes, you can loaded all likes an hour before the final hours... No one can bet you "bleeh" , BTw. if you buy fake likes to your marketing's, or any monetizing offer on facebook.. Lol, I guess you will lose your accounts soon.. Just make a sense if you play a game.

It would be a waste of money and pointless, because there visitors like your page by force, in contrast to the natural way, visitors come because of their own needs and willingness, and anyway if you buy all of those accounts fans page not real, they may come from a machine which means that the account was never activated and it is very harmful.thanks for warning.

    Organic is the best.
    Get good quality content.
Use big attractive images for your content.
Good videos uploaded will get many shares and followers.
I have made 15,500 fans in 1 year. Everything organic, and I can say the fans are more useful than buying bunches of likes that wont like your content.
There are also many WSO on how to get many likes for few bucks using facebook ads.

Organic likes are best but can everyone get those easily? What if you fail to gain likes. Only facebook adwards. You have to pay a lot. While some can do the same rate more cheaper then facebook. So why not then buy likes from the trusted company?

I have to both agree and disagree.

Yes its better to get natural likes from Facebook and to buy them from Facebook.

But i have made over $6800 since September promoting my CPA offers to Facebook fans i bought from Fiverr and SEO Clerks i have used a lot of different sellers from both some good some bad. Id say i spent around $300-€400.

I know i could loose those pages any day but hey it was good while it lasted.

For kick starting your fan page's initial social credibility you can buy some fake likes (500 or so). But there are service providers who give you exposure to your targeted fans . And in case of web promotions these likes really do help in attracting other people if the likes that exist are demographically suited to your region of interest.
    So I agree to disagree.
For start up you can buy likes if you want. I certainly do.
But in the long term you should rely on real hard earned likes.

Well, there is a good use for buying fake likes and a bad (as for all things in life). If u have a brand new page u want to promote, it wouldn't hurt to get 500-1000 likes, just for making your brand new page look "active". It's much easier for someone to like a page when sees other users have done it as well. But, if u're trying to promote your page and engage fans through fake likes, well this is useless. These are usually bots or clickfarms and their only job is liking pages 24/7, they wouldn't care less about your content...
