Youtube + Clickbank is equal to sell for me?!!!

Hello Fellows,

I am a newbie here. I am not a passenger anyway! I would like to stay here for long term and learn from you guys!

I have started to promote clickbank product via Youtube since last month.
I uploaded a video (I will add 2 to3 this week as well) and tried to give it backlinks. Now my video has more than 1500 backlinks generated by:
IMTalk.org - IMT Website Submitter

I have the video in the first page of google (but not the firstest result) for 4 keywords.

PROBLEM:

Well, the problem is that after 40 days and more than 300 visitors I have no sell yet!
I was thinking what is wrong?! A guy told me try to put comments for the video by yourself. He said comments or even contents like "I myself have used this product and it is great" and so on can affect people and incarse their interest to buy....
But I have a question, Is it fair to do so? Isn't it like fooling your customer? I don't know how to justify myself to do so?!
I noticed that we have several experts in this forum who are working with clickbank via youtube (like "RedShifted" or "Anthony" and others), So can you fellows please be kind enough to direct me somehow to cause any sell?

Thanks in advance.

It does help if you've personally used a product your promoting but you can get away with a little white lie, so long as you know what you're saying is correct.

A comment on your video like 'i have used this myself and it's great' is not really of any value and it doesn't really influence people to buy.

Your much better off giving a detailed description below the video of what it's about and what it does. I do this with many video's, and especially good for short one's is to leave a little speech bubble, saying something like 'for more info and to visit the website see the description below the video'.

I myself have youtube video's promoting clickbank products sitting in the top results on google with 2000 plus views that are yet to make me a sale! And i have loads with less that have made sales, so i wouldn't worry to much about the views at the minute, concentrate on making your videos appealing and useful, then get the views rolling in to 'try and make sales'.

Can you please let me know what to say as a white lie (Personally I don't like to fool anybody with any kind of lie though).

For now one niche ie Electronics, but I want to give the software, mobile and PC niches a try soon as well.

Almost 44 days ago When I started this method (ie youtube + clickbank) I thought I can reach to say 1000-2000$ per month but now I don't think so! My YT TEST video says me that It is hard or impossible to reach to this goal. I am wondering if other guys here are earning such an ammount of income by YT + Clickbank products?

        There's your first problem, unreal expectations. Depending on what your selling (or in your case, trying to sell), it will usually take MUCH longer to achieve those kinds of numbers. There could be a whole bunch of other factors working against you too like;

        1. Weak CB offer
        2. Bad video/presentation
        3. ...and of course....traffic!

        to name a few.

It always helps to have a call to action. Edit your video in Youtube anf click on annotations and add a Title annotation such as "Click on The Link Below". Time this to appear near the end of your video

Yes you are right buddy. Thanks for reminding it.
I use speech bubble for this job...

the objective of your video is to DRIVE THE CLICK so does it do it's job? If people are clicking on the link int the description or your annotations are they landing on the website you are promoting. If they are landing on the website and are not buying then its the website itself that is not converting.

300 visitors isn't all that much traffic, though I see that it's disappointing.

In my experience, when people have been trying something involving selling ClickBank products, and they're disappointed at having made no sales at all, then almost invariably whatever they're doing has failed to fulfil one or more of these three fundamental requirements for promoting CB products successfully (which might help you): http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post7110523

Did you do any keyword research?
You should optimise the title and description of the video in order to get targetted visitors.

I have a video that was a part of series that got on the 1st page of google and jumped to 700,000 views. Even with that, from just the video, we're talking a few sales a week. The best way to sell clickbank products is email marketing to a list you've built rapport with.

Still something I'm learning so I'm no expert. But you're gonna need a lot more traffic than 300 views..

I doubt your going to get any link juice from that IMT submitter as the links are worthless.

It is a bit ridiculous to do that as it makes you a grubby swine. People should only read proper feedback on the product.

Good job getting your video ranked, I hope they are good buying keywords. My guess is the video is doing a poor job of pre-selling the product to the viewer. Couple that with possibly bad keyword research and/or a poorly converting product and you have no sales. It can be difficult to figure out the problem, but don't give up.

    Hello guys,

    thanks for all your inputs.

I am so glad because after almost 50 days of the start point and more than 400 visitors yesterday I had "my first sale" and earned 25$.
I think that 400 vistors/ one sell is not good enough but anyway I noticed that my strategy does work.
The guy who bought the product was from Alaska (and I am thankful of him because he brought me the encouragement to go on) but I don't know what keyword he used to come inside my YT video. How can I find it please? I just could find his place via CB and of course via YT.
I would like to cause my YT video to be the firstest result of "google" (it is the 7th result there),So how can I do so? more backlinks or....?
Furthermore I have another question please. Suppose my main keyword is "how to train a dog", does it make any difference how many times I use this term in my description or in my title please (supose I have used it in the tag as well)?

Are the visitors your talking about views of your video, or actual hops to the CB product?

How many views your video has isn't something you should focus on, the click through rate is what's important. Let's say you have 400 views and 40 hops to Clickbank, that would be a CTR of 10%. If your CTR is low, i.e. your video gets many views but no one hops over to CB your video is the problem. Try to improve it with techniques others already mentioned here (call to action and such).

If your video is good (high CTR) but no one buys, the product you are promoting is the problem. I wouldn't waste more time and move to another one then.

Hi and thanks for your input buddy,

I got just 30 hops since I launched the video. 400 is the number of those guys who visited the YT video till now, so my CTR is 7.5%. What CTR is good and reasonable you think please?

Calll to action is a good idea which I tried to use recently. I want to put the link of my landing page in the speech bubble because Ithink it can help but it does not work for my blogge link!I do not know what's wrong?
Apart from call to action idea (I just used the speech bubble) other ideas about the video are welcomed.

Well, I guess that depends on the video and how much effort you put into it. When I review a product or software that I personally own I do videos of about 5-10 minutes. Showing every angle of the product mentioning all pros and cons and stuff. Those are screencapture videos with commentary, take quite a bit of time to produce, so I like to see CTR of about 15-20%. If I don't, I try to tweak the video until I get there.

For videoes made with not so much effort, maybe just a few powerpoint slides without commentary I usually get a CTR anywhere between 3-10%. That's fine for me since those videos only take a couple of minutes to create.

These number look ok-ish, considering you don´t seem to have still a brand/authority to push buying decision, and that it is just impulsive or credit card-in-hand traffic you are targeting.

You are having a CTR of 7.5%, and the sales page has a CTR of 3%.

It is a good starting point. And those numbers are subject to change organically, when you have more views. You can give it more depth by uploading more videos about the same product from different angles, and then choose the keywords so they will appear in the recommendations of each other (or put those videos as comments). This can help with the sector of the market you are not targeting now, the one that is almost ready to buy but not quite. Two or three videos in a row can make that difference.

Anyway, I would listen to Alexa on this. Maybe you should take the traffic to a squeeze page and build a list instead of sending the traffic to the sales letter.

You just need to have multiple videos to get more traffic or you need to promote other products. The more videos you have, the more money you get. Youtube is still being one big traffic source so it's good for promoting your affiliate product there

Honestly I would do a self testimonial or show a way you can use particular product. Works well for me.

Example: I promote a Biz Op Offer. Ill actually try it out(Note that the 1st conversion is the $$ made back If you can't get a review copy of product which you can in most cases) I do a detailed review on product on video then put my spin or bonus on it to make it unique. Always give something to help gain trust from viewers.

I do a short training on lets say "how to make money on instagram" show a technique. Targeted traffic WILL click and go to site where you must have everything together prior. If so you have good chance at interaction and or a sale. I test multiple products out on my blog pages and go with whatever converts the best. You must always test and optimize.

Clickbank is still good to make money with in conjuction with youtube. It is really just a matter of how you set up the way you will drive your viewers beforehand. description link on top and 1 on bottom.
