It's all in the image!

Hey warriors,

I just wanted to start a topic on successful images in Facebook adverts.

What are some of the key things people have had success with?

I have been experimenting a lot recently with many ads, trying to get cpc down. The best i have managed is 24 cents per like. Which isn't bad when i am targeting the big english speaking countries. I still havn't cracked the 1 cent clicks, even with targeting places like india, philippines etc using cpm. I am convinced it's my image though.

So, any tips and ideas?

  • There was an image that was used on Oprah's OWN FB fan page. It was simply a crossword puzzle, and the viewer was asked what 5 words did they see first. Got over 50k views!

    • I saw that image and I myself clicked that image. Even my family got interested with it and clicked the image, provided their answers, and even shared the image. I saw it on my news feed a couple of times. I think this image was about the first five words you see will describe you as a person.

  • Getting your ad cost down comes more down to your interest choice and the demographics. Once you have those chosen correctly, your image will be the next factor.

Here is some successful ads I've had in the nurse niche (see full case study in The Fan Page Profit Punch product):

Things that stand out compared to everything else are the key... so you can see colors that contrast FB colors (reds, oranges, and even greens work well)... close up shots of faces did well for a while, but those are starting to get a little saturated. The caddy corner ads are doing well for me right now.

All the pics above got $.05/click or lower, but like I said, it really comes down to demographics and interests chosen for low CPC.
