My YouTube Success Story

Okay, so I launched a YouTube channel 1 week ago...

I've done 5 or 6 videos since then...

I spent $25 on Ad Words for 2 of my videos...

(Ad Words has a promotion: Buy $25, Get $100).

I've used maybe $40 in ads thus far.

In 1 week, I've gotten around 5,000 views and 21 subscribers.

Would you consider these to be good results?


Also, one of my videos got 12 comments, 16 likes, no dislikes.


Have you had similar/better results?
Any advice for getting subscribers?

    Not bad I guess. It can be hard to get subscribers now on YouTube, and most people only subscribe if you have a number of quality videos rather than just a couple. As well as promoting your channel, don't forget to reach out to the ones currently subscribed to your channel.

    Yes that's really good and I like the fact you did not buy views from a service such as Vagex.
    I've done well myself with YouTube over the years.
    You will find your video will rank well as it ages.

    It's a decent start but the key to success on YouTube is to create quality videos and upload them regularly without ever giving up.

    If you upload often, you could be making lots of money and getting lots of views in two or three years which is a lifeline you have for the rest of your career.

    You can make money from the videos and take advantage of the viewers with affiliate links all at the same time.

    Good job my friend. I also use YouTube to promote my site on few really simple ways. I only use MovieMaker to make a nice simple video explaining something really easy, then upload it on the youtube, put a link to my site in description and promote a youtube video wherever I can. I receive ton of visitors and subscribers to my site!
    Youtube is a great source of targeted and free traffic. Use it.

      Yep, by monetizing it. I'm not trying to sell anything.

      My goal is to hit 1,000 real subscribers.

      I'm at 22 in about a week.

      Money wise?

      If I could make $50 a day from YouTube, I'd be happy.

      And probably dump it into ads.
