Anyone making money on Instagram?

I think that Instagram is hard to sell to. They seem only to be interested in pictures to me. Sorry I can not help you with that. If you do find a way be sure to share.

I dont think there is any monetization method with Instagram but I may be wrong because I dont use it. Atleast on FB you can advertise

I think back in the day, CPA worked well with Instagram. I made like 50 bucks, but I was never really much active there.

I can't say whether it works or not, since I haven't been using it for a while. But try it, why not..

Offers that can be completed easily (Mobile Offers) usually converted well for me.

Something like "Hey, posting this picture from my brand new iPhone 5s. And I got it for free, so happy! (your link here)"

Instagram is pretty much just for fun. Sure people try to sell stuff on there everyday and do you know what real users of instagram do?? They unfollow those people

"Making Money" on the internet, in many cases, is not about how can I monetize site x or site y.

Its about, How can i siphon qualified leads from site x and site y. And convert those leads into loyal long lasting customers.

your ultimate goal is NOT to "Monetize" instagram (I HATE the word monetize as it is so Anti-business minded).

Your plan should be to use instagram as a way to qualify potential customers and to send them back to your BUSINESS by which you will do with them as you please.

If you have your business constructed correctly, Then you will already have systems and processes in place so that you'll know exactly what to do with the leads that you capture from instagram or any site for that matter.

Never violate sound business practices for quick short term cash. Because after those quick gains fall flat, you'll be back to square one...and they will fall flat.

Build a business.

*Side note, my girlfriend has used instagram to build a list (On my recommendation)...she gets clothes for cheap from various resources and sells them for a small profit -- It's her little side gig, but she's doing a little over $2,000 a month. Not bad for an English major

You're going in the right direction, but I would take it one step further and say that its NEVER about monetization.

You see, most people focus on how to make More money. How make MORE conversions MORE MORE MORE...

But they have yet to earn a single dollar using the fundamentals. They lack systems and processes. They lack everything that makes a business successful -- Yet they are worried about monetization and making more!

How about we master the fundamentals first??

Theres a guy in the NBA by the name of Tim Duncan. He doesn't get the cool commercials. He doesn't have the flashy shoes. And he's not most kids favorite player -- But he has won many many championships, he earns a boatload of money and he's uber successful. Why is that?

Because he is extremely fundamentally sound. Fundamentals can get you much more success than flashy gimmicks ever will.

We should all be focused on building a business. And having systems in place that work day in and day out. That is the point by which "Monetization" can take place.

BTW, my girlfriend started out selling old baby clothes, my old clothes etc, etc -- then she branched out to acquire clothes for cheap.

Affiliate links and bra and logos are the first thing that come to mind, you can post affiliate links and generate revenue when people click on them, or you could post images of certain brands and people could pay you for the likes that the photo receives, there is value in customers, getting peoples attention is hard and you have the ability to get 7,000 peoples attention sell it.

I know people who make money on Instagram. It depends on how you will monetize your account, really. They use their accounts to sell products and services and they are actually reaching a lot of people by using Instagram alone. Well, I think that if your target market is there, it will already be easy for you to make money.

Hi Jared, Instagram's latest update forced the "quality over quantity" rule.

When I started on instagram I made $281 using affiliate marketing my first week using 6 niche accounts with mobile email submit offers.

All I did was make a comment like "why in the world is everybody talking about @username ?" On a high traffic trending pic.

Or you could even have 3 different accounts talking to each other on a high traffic comment thread to make everyone else curious lol

Example:"answer the above question via account 2 like "I've also seen numerous posts about that @username page, I'm going to check it out"

Other users will follow because they now feel "left out" if they dont know. Social proof is key in IG marketing.

Leave mystery and they will come. Think always outside the box.

I have outlined a simple strategy involving mobile CPA and #hashtag traffic on my blog here

On Twitter you see a section for trending tweets.

Instagram provides several sites that let you analyze data and trends so you can pick a mobile CPA offer based on results.

-webstagram.com(search via hash tag for exact number of pics)

-instawaves.com(use trending tags to know what pics to comment on with a lot of traffic, likes, etc)

-DMstagram app(just like FB messenger..send messages with signatures(cloak aff. Link in them while messaging followers)

I ran a test to see if I could get quality fitness leads from IG.

My 1st day I was able to get 170 leads mostly female to sign up via mobile opt in form on this page (@instaweightlossinfo) and they are now active on my subscriber list.

So answer to your question ..."yes" i am and there are many others making money with instagram.

Just like everything else on the net. It comes down to your setup. IG being your traffic source and pics being main medium you could simply watermark all uploaded pics with cloaked aff. Link URL.

They do go to the URL as I track free campaigns just as I would a ppc campaign.

Bit.ly cloaked links tracking data is enough to gather GEO data to see who is doing what with your profile url.

Landing page to Offer still works great for me also.

If you don't have software you can use tumblr as long as you don't place the raw affiliate link on the tumblr page (they'll ban you)

Just place your opt in form on the tumblr page and use that link as your profile link.

Hope that after you look at my blog post and see my case studies you benefit from it and you too monetize those followers you have and the ones you find following this method.

it works and I still use the strategy .

The "dog" niche is hot on IG I've seen mobile email submit offers on peerfly for these and they do convert as far as I have seen.

I make money with Instagram via a Clickbank product but I layer my own capture page on top of that and capture leads. So the clickbank income is small compared to getting leads who are interested in making money online. I'm about to put together a training webinar for my team exactly on this topic.

Instagram is becoming more and more popular I believe because it's just very simple. All you do is just post cool pics and hast tag, hast tag, #hast tag. It's important to do a little research first on hast tags. I think one of the best sites is webstagram where you can just simply type in a hast tag or a keyword and they tell you how many times it has been used.

The thing about becoming popular on instagram is, not being looked at as a spam with a bunch of promotional pics.. yuck. Folks love positive affirmation pics and if you put a link at the bottom, you can generate some traffic to you site because folks will share the positive quote or affirmation on Facebook and other social media networks. I think it's pretty cool. I still learning everyday but it seems to be hot and folks are making some money when they don't abuse it.

Making money from any popular media site follows the same rules as marketing anywhere else. First you target your audience. Then you isolate a shared problem. Then you find a suitable product to solve it. Then you casually mention that you know how to fix it.
