    You won't get banned as long as you follow the rules and don't spam. You should be fine. Read the terms of use page for sure.

      Not 100% true. Can happen that even you follow the rules, Facebook ban you for some reason that even they don't know why. So don't be surprise.

        I haven't heard of many people getting banned for no reason and without an explanation from Facebook. They sometimes aren't too keen on marketers and if you're adding random people just to market to them then you could be banned.

        Generally though, don't spam and read the TOS.

    Using a fake name of a fake person for your account will get it permanently disabled, eliminating your ability to send friend requests to people.

    Definitely reading the ToS would help you from getting banned. You can use simple reasoning, if you'll do unethical things then even if its not in the ToS it would surely get you banned. =)

    My first question would be "what were you doing when you got banned?"

    Once we know that, we'll be better able to make suggestions. One thing for sure though, is if you get a warning from Facebook stop whatever you're doing right away.
