Going Viral on Reddit - Massive Traffic
Recently I started a blog about meditation and so far it has been very easy to get traffic to it. After a few days I started getting 30-50 unique visitors daily and then I hit the jackpot:
See the massive traffic increase? Nothing special was done for that. I simply wrote a good post, shared it on a large active group (subreddit) in the same niche, and participated in the conversation that took place. Needless to say, I got plenty of subscribers thanks to this event.
Don't hesitate to participate on social networks. Getting traffic is nowhere near as difficult as it's made out to be. We marketers tend to focus on the complicated and forget the simple - like sharing interesting posts in groups. The trick here is to create interesting content with a good eye-catching title. From my experience controversial titles are the best.
Social networking is the future of the internet and bloggers who focus entirely on SEO and don't exploit this are fools. Don't forget that social marketing improves your SE rankings as well.
