Can reddit change your account so that no one sees your posts?

My karma hasn't gone up or down for over a month.

My posts don't get voted up or down?

I know craigslist does this where it looks like your posts are live but they really aren't.

Should I start a new account? Can I?

Yes, Reddit love to ghost accounts. Not to mention they have an army of users who love to hunt down spam and down vote it, just because they have nothing better to do with their lives.

Reddit is a tough cookie to crack my friend, you may find yourself as a lamb amongst the wolves.

I am not sure if there is something like that. I browsed through Reddit's Terms of Service and didn't see anything like that. As long as you are not violating any of their Terms of Service, would think that you would be okay. Maybe the content that you are sending in is not popular. I've personally had dry spells where my content was not voted up or down.

probably got busted spamming... I am very successful on reddit... well, successful in everything but making money off of it. Could be my funnel is terrible, but I think that most redditers are more focused on getting free stuff than anything else.

Reddit is not a place I would suggest for selling stuff - unless you're utterly cunning. As another user said, you will find yourself a lamb amongst wolves if you intend on being a salesman in our quarters.

Yes my account is def ghosted. I don't know if I can start a new account or if they track IP numbers?

If I subscribed to the pay version would that prevent me from getting ghosted I wonder?

It wouldn't stop you from being duped on. Like I said, cunning or you'll be squashed easy.

You are probably right. I posted some legit quality content there and got mostly down voted.

It seems like that's how IM is, you have a success then it gets taken away and you can't do it again.

I post legit content and get a lot of upvotes for the most part but even in days when I've had 8000 uniques.. not 1 sale!

Sounds to me like you've been shadowbanned. You can post to your heart's content, but no one else will see anything. There was a good article posted, I think, in the TrueReddit sub about effectively marketing on Reddit. I can't seem to turn it up, but this will give you a good idea of what you need to know:

6 Things You Must Know When Marketing on Reddit - Silverback Social

Reddit is more a collection of kvetchers than a good source of leads. As you've discovered, they're keen to flag submissions with even a soupcon of commercial intent. Think of it as the opposite of a safelist and you're on the right track.
