Hi.. Just wanna know your opinions guys about Facebook Groups.. Is this really working?

I joined several ( quite a lot ) facebook groups about online marketing in the last couple of weeks.. And i must admit i am a little bit shock with the numbers of members there.. All the groups are above 10k++ members.. But i see all the activities there is only 'i joined groups to share my links'.. And i think all the members thinking what others thinking.. All the post are like a spam.. About 30-50 posts in just half an hour.. And i wonder, are they read all the posts there?

Because there is no engagement at all.. Even a single like is hardly found there in any post.. Is it just the groups i joined ? Or maybe someone can invite me to the 'real group' where i can learn more about online marketing , affiliate, and building my online network marketing where someone doesn't think about sharing their links, offers, etc? Or maybe the groups was created for just sharing your links?

Thx before

Groups are more popular, better than the Pages.
Group activity is higher than Pages when it comes to IM.

It depends how you use it! You should be smart enough to know what you doing.
A lot of people just go to those groups to spam their links for hrs. That is an stupid idea to market a product or a company. Even though, the groups have 1000s of members, they all think the same way.
I usually use facebook fan pages to attract new prospects. First my team and i was using fb groups but the conversion rate was too low. Most of them don't have a future vision or marketing skills.

Group owners dont take it seriously but groups can be a good way to create a viral effect even when you have 10k members in it, but mostly you see spam & unrelated services on top (most of the time).

  • I found that the most successful groups would depend on how active/engaged the moderators are. Those that actively regulate spam, post/share great content, and encourage the members to participate are often the ones that provide the most value in IM.

      Hey Jfalxr,

How many groups are you a member of? E.g. i have over 350+ groups which i post to daily, the more groups you post to the more likely you will get your product out there.

Let me know where I can help.
      Cheers,
      Aron Prins

          Hey!

          Posting to groups definitely works.
I am now a member of 800+ groups and pulled in 1800 clicks with just one campaign with my own Facebook Group Auto Poster.

          Hope this helps
          Cheers,
          Aron

Groups are an excellent place to socialize. You can comment, post, share or engage others in order to take active part in groups. Unfortunately, some spammers spam the group by filling their own content related to their products rather than focusing on imparting proper knowledge about the group's domain.

Yes, because you can choose to be a member of the group that are also interested with your niche.

Maybe these groups are not very well moderated. You'll just have to keep looking for legitimate Facebook groups where you can post your internet marketing questions and get feedback from other members. As is, looks like these groups are designed for spam.

I've had some success posting to my groups. We are all like minded individuals so they do the likes when I post my articles.

You should not SPAM links on FB Groups or you will be removed from the Group. It's like walking into a party and passing out flyers for something you are selling. People will be turned off. Common sense.

I also posted on many groups wall.. some of them are all trash and nobody reads my post.
My tip: join to the groups that have small amount of members and they will take you seriously.

The biggest groups are terrible and are all spam

Groups are working for better than pages. You need to find right groups in your niche.

You have to offer real value to the group. Just slapping a link on their wall get you banned.

You need to find group where people are interested to your content. I see there are so many spam groups where people are busy with self promotion.

As a blogger, i have great list of facebook groups where i promote my blog. You notice that many blogger suggest facebook groups for driving traffic. Most of their blog traffic comes from facebook!

    Hope this will help-

I have a group that has members actively selling well over several thousands a month. However we are a very tight niche group, and extremely established. I later went on to build a site from the group because facebook kept getting worse and worse with our numbers and I successfully moved the group into a very profitable site. Groups work.
Last year I sold a site that started as several location specific groups, and grew into a national brand.
    Groups work!
