I'm Stuck
I followed those steps and I created a FB fan page that has a unique niche. I did not have a whole lot of money, still don't, so I was only able to invest a very small amount in marketing. Nonetheless, because this awesome person described HOW to find the right people using a FB fan page, that little bit of investment did bring people in...by. the. bucketloads.
I then created a blog to go along with the FB fan page. As time went on, the fan page morphed in to something different than what I originally planned, and it actually turned out to be a good thing. I paid attention to the fans, what they wanted, what they were doing, without coming right out and telling me, and I followed their lead.
My traffic shot up, and now I have fans clamoring for attention on the page. So, I did that part not only right, but VERY right.
Problem? I still can't figure out how to make money doing this. I tried the CPA thing and it was largely ignored. No one wanted to click through and complete the process. In some cases, it actually ticked off the fans.
How the heck do I make money with my FB fan page that has grown unbelievably in one year?
I found this on another thread: (I put it here so as not to hijack the other guy's thread)
Nobody has mentioned adsense? [snip] You should create a blog that has a rock solid adsense ctr. Get plenty of content that will provoke discussion/debate/outrage. At least with adsense you can make money from somebody who lives in a trailor just as easily as you could make money from somebody who drives a Porche. I have a page with 1.7 million likes and this is exactly how I make my money, between $500-$1000 daily via adsense, just from re-wording viral news stories I find online. Best of luck |
I've heard, or read, that AdSense was a dying thing...but then others say like the above said. Which is it?
Finally, if I wanted to direct them to my website to "continue the discussion" or whatever, how do you pique their interest to go over there? What I've learned is that people have the attention span of a gnat. It doesn't matter how old they are, they don't want to click a lot. They want everything brought to them, they look, they enjoy, they move on. So how do you keep their attention for the extra five seconds it takes to get them to click to another site, even if it is linked to the Fanpage?
Do I have to hold a contest every month? I don't have that kind of money.
In addition, I did try to get more of those clicks things...they click, you receive a few cents...but each time I tried to sign up for one, I had to go through interviews that were rougher than any job interview I've been on. Really? I have to go through that to make a couple of cents a click? I've looked around on things like Offervault but I've had zero success.
Look, if you want to make a course, designed for me, I'd be happy to pay for it if you don't want to give me "free" information. That's fine. The person I bought from last year had GREAT information. I created the FB fan page, I did what they said to do, (well, they did leave out that you have to BUY the fricken advertising but I figured that out, quickly), and the fanpage has grown. The rest of it, though, it's not working. Someone will say that clearly I am not doing something right. So let's go with that and maybe throw me a bone here? I don't need to make hundreds of thousands of dollars a year, I'd be content to just make a comfortable living doing this. I just need ideas, in plain English.
