5,000+ New Fans Per Day - How?

Hi guys,

I run a number of Facebook pages in a couple of niche markets - not crappy humor pages - but a collection of people interested in a similar topic.

One of my pages, which was at about 60,000 fans about 10 days ago, has jumped up to 110,000 fans in under two weeks.

This is with no advertising and not by simply posting viral images and meme's that get shared thousands of times.

Facebook Insights suggests that the likes are coming due to "Page Suggestions" - so I guess FB is suggesting my page to a number of people.

I have another page with over 400,000 fans, again on a specific topic, but this page has not experienced the same growth in recent weeks.

My questions is...

What factors does FB consider when it promotes a page as a suggested page to users? And how can I get this to happen for my other pages, too?

Has this happened to anyone else?

James

I'm not sure if there's any specific trick to getting your Page featured. I had one of my Facebook Pages get over 15,000 Likes in a single day earlier this month and I didn't even post to it that day. I believe it was from being suggested.

Seems just posting good content and getting users engaged is the trick

Hey james what topics are you talking about and are you selling something or is that phase 2 to then sell something to monetize for all the likes you have?

Hello, I already have a YouLikeHits bot and looking at their site I don't see enough websites in their system to visit and earn enough credit for 5k Facebook fans in a day. I probably will buy it, I sent them a message so will see if I get a response... If it is a sham I'll share it here and see if anyone can tweak it. Have a nice day

Facebook has changed their algorithm. They want pages and communities that keep you on the FB site. They don't want external marketing or links that take you off of FB. I think FB will be less of a help for internet marketers moving forward. FB controls the "reach" of all posts.

Well the people themselves dont really want to leave Facebook. Thats why its best to put your squeeze pages etc on tabs in your fan page.

Facebook has always controlled the 'reach' and the control is based on how people respond to your posts. So as always the key is to post quality posts and not just spam people.

      Really little has changed.

Basically, just use every feature FB pages give you. If they ask for information, give it to them...fill out everything in your page settings. Like other pages as your page. Use milestones. Keep your user engagement high, respond to comments, etc.

Run your page through LikeAlyzer and it will tell you what you're doing right and wrong.

Post original content that gets people talking like Luke said is what I would assume is the best method. When you have a good track record of engagement then Facebook will start suggesting your page

or it maybe that your page gets suggested when it is of such a niche which is not much saturated [not many page about it] and some group of people are talking about it
As you said that you were staying away from that swarm of humor and quotes pages
I think it is all about learning new topics on which people are talking and making quality page about it, this maybe the best way to get your page suggested !

Are you still growing at a rapid pace? I run FB ads and get daily likes both through ads and organically, I post viral pictures that get a few hundred shares each and I interact.

My page, up until now, hasn't been on the recommended pages.

On the other hand, I know site owners who run NO ads and post once every 10 days and they are in the Recommended Pages and have 300-500k fans.

We'll see if the theories work. A big page just shared my page last night and I gained 12,000 fans in less than 12 hours. We'll see if that puts me in the recommended pages.
