Question about Facebook marketing. Am I missing anything from this list?
I have a few questions about Facebook marketing. Want to make sure I am not missing any important strategies or concepts. I would appreciate if those that have a great deal of experience and credibility respond to my post.
1. With a facebook Fan page, when you post something, then do only those people that "Liked" your page received your status wall update in their feeds?
2. If the answer to this is yes, then is there a way to increase the outreach of your content without Facebook ads or promoting your posts by paying for it?
3. I saw a video once, whereby you can like and build relationships with complementary pages and then cross link each other. Also many pages allow users to post and those posts get put in the section on the right called " posts by other users". Isn't that a good way to indirectly expose yourself. Not saying blunt sales or promotional content but add a comment, engage the page's owners and then at the bottom link to your site.?
4. I also use groups (with niche demographic composite)to increase the outreach of my message. I don't believe groups are good if you are just interesting in promoting yourself. I am a relationship coach for men and so groups are perfect for me as I offer up tips, strategies, write articles and this makes men curious. So I would link them to my website or my fan page. Is this the idea with using groups? Meaning engagement, discussions and invoke curiosity and interst, then relay those to a conversion causing portal(site, fan page on FB) AM I missing something here?
5. Also, many pages don't allow you to post as a page, but if you use a 3rd party posting service like Post Planner, it sys posted by "Your url" at the bottom, so this is priceless. As if people like your content, they will often click through to check out where that link leads to as they want to know more about you. Correct?
Anyways am I missing anything about how to promote on Facebook? BTW I just found out that hashtags are useless, as people associate them with Twitter and not Facebook so they do not click on them. I have metrics/date from a site that is credible.
