Hard Time Getting Cheap FB Likes

Has anyone had luck getting cheap likes on FB for premier countries such as the US, UK, Canada and Australia?

I have a travel niche based FB page and I'm getting really cheap likes (under $0.01) from countries such as Indonesia, India, Pakistan etc. However I only created ads for those countries to build up my # of likes (currently over 4000) so it would be more appealing to the countries that I really want to focus on in order to start monetizing. I did several campaigns for the US, UK, Canada, Australia and the cost per like are outrageous. They are anywhere form $0.10 to $0.50/like. Is anyone out there getting good results with these countries in regards to FB like pricing? I start out with a $1/day budget and if it goes well I usually go up to $5/day for a few days.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey there man! I just made a pretty good guide on getting some nice clicks on my last thread I posted. Take a look at it, haha yeah I've done targeting the other 'English speaking countries' too and I know what you mean with them. Hope it helps!

Focus more on quality and less on pricing.

You want to use these low quality likes to 'build up your fan page' .. think about this for a little.

You end up with 4000 likes from people who will never be your customers. Lets say you then have 1000 likes from your target areas.

What do you think happens then when you make a post to your fan page. Most of the people who are going to see your post will NOT be in your target area.

Basically you all ready ruined your page.

Its much better to have 500 targeted likes than 5000 non targeted ones. By the way forget that 'you need to have lots of likes to appeal to people' garbage. People who say that kind of stuff honestly have no idea what there doing.

Rarely does a like from Facebook ads turn into a customer or client for business services or for most pages including travel pages. This means that no matter how many "quality" or "ideal" or "targeted" likes you get, it will generally have little relation to the sales you get. I have made ad campaigns for pages exactly like this and regardless of the targeting, location, or offer, they were never profitable. Why? The kind of person that clicks on a Facebook ad is generally by definition not the type of person that is likely to take up a new travel offer. The type of person that is likely to do this already stopped clicking on Facebook ads long ago and always ignores them. The type of people that do click on Facebook ads are the type to look at your offer and then go to priceline or whatever website they already use and shop for the price there.

The solution is to build your Facebook page with people that do enjoy your content for the lowest cost possible. Once you have that page established, you then can go directly to where the people that are likely to engage with your offer hang out. This can be travel forums, blogs, and reviews. If you can form a relationship with the managers of these communities, you can get your offer out to the innovators and early adopters that are likely to engage with it. Once they do, they may thank you by visiting your Facebook page and sharing it with their friends. Once this is done and you have their support, you may have a chance to go back to Facebook ads if your offer breaks into mainstream.

In summary, you probably should skip Facebook ads, skip any other paid ads, and go straight to the people themselves.

My costs are over $1 for a like, no matter if I'm trying to pay for clicks or for actions, how can I lower them to even $0.5? what's your bidding method?
what am I doing wrong..? :/
