Best way to pay to advertise/promote my Facebook page?

I've read about the methods of paying per click or per like or per share...

How do I pay per like of the page? Is that possible? For a comedy based page would this be the best method of advertising?

I've never paid for any advertising. I've been reading about the likes of fiverr and how they are mostly fake. I want real genuine likes. If someone could point me in the right direction that would be great. Thank you.

I think the best way to get genuine likes is to run a facebook ad. In my experience (and I have searched for this a lot), I have not seen anywhere that you pay for likes and actually get real likes with people who will actually interact with and reshare your content. I think the best thing to do is get real likes by running the ad. Then when you have a decent amount of people be sure to post things that will be reposted. If you need a boost run some sort of contest that fans enter by sharing your page. Also, don't forget to use hastags. People will find you this way!

Facebook ads are the way to go, if you want genuine likes. It's fairly reasonable, you can choose what you pay for(clicks or views), and how much you pay for each unit. You can even set a budget with a time limit and it will adjust your spend accordingly. Run a campaign for $1/day if you're skeptical.

But the only way to maintain and grow your following is by posting good content.

That's what it was. What would be more important to me? Likes are everything. Should I be paying per click or per view and what is the difference?

Like everyone has pointed out, FB ads is the way to go. If you buy likes, they will just be fake and you won't get any value from the audience. Another method that I use is getting paid mentions. Let me explain:
    1. Get a list of FB pages that have an audience that you are looking for. (In your case, since you are after an audience that wants to be happy, the cute cat and cute dog FB pages will be good)
    2. Make sure the FB pages have over 5K likes (This is because FB posts do not reach all fans on the page).
3.Find the admin of the page (you will see the admin if he has allowed to be featured. Otherwise, send a message through the page to ask for admin).
    4. After connecting with admin, tell them you want to advertise your page through their status updates. Tell them you will pay for the promotion.

When you decide to advertise your page through the status update, make sure you ask the page to be advertised multiple times to reach as many fans as possible.

    Hope this helps

I've never heard that one. Does that mean my reach will go up after I hit 5k?

This is a good place to start, its working for me and I have a very nichey audiance. The likes may not be the most engaging but they are genuine and helps build up your page and number of likes. http://www.warriorforum.com/social-m...rrerid=1140722

Definitely pay for some ads. The best way to get likes with ads is using a fangate offering some good free content. I find this converts better than simply promoting a post.

I've also found that once you have tens of thousands of fans, not only will you get free organic likes every day if you post to Facebook (good content), but you can do some sharing with other Facebook pages, YouTube channels/videos and even Pinterest. Once you have a big engaged audience, it's easy to work with other people who have a big audience in the same niche.

It's definitely worth investing up front for targeted fans as long as you're committed to providing them good content regularly.

I completely agree with you and that's why I'm looking to get my likes up to the 10k range so I can work with these bigger pages (they have a share for share 10k +)

I'm paying per click right now and I'm not getting any likes...should I be paying optimized for likes? I went back and forth on this.. it's looking like that's what I should have done...

Yes, it takes a bit of trial and error to get your like conversion going. I primarily use fangates with a great free offer. I then redirect it to a squeeze page so I get a like and the email sign up at the same time.

I then set up my ads to send traffic to the fangate. Once you have a converting offer/ad, scale it up. I've been running the same campaigns for months with good success. I swap out the images in the campaigns every few weeks to keep the ads fresh. I set the ads so it reaches non-fans only.

I use CPM primarily. I know many prefer CPC, but I've gotten best results with CPM by far ... as long as the ad and fangate converts you're golden.

4 - Ask your Twitter followers to like your Facebook page.
5 - Invest in Facebook ads.
6 - Put a Facebook social plugin on your blog or website.

Hi, I believe the most realistic and reliable way to get real facebook likes by interactive facebook profiles is to run a facebook ad, people will hit likes if they are really interested in the content of your page. Otherwise you could just hire someone on those small jobs websites by buying a gig offering facebook likes or comments. But i would not recommend it as it is not truly reliable, you would get hundreds of likes but they'll drop after some time, and they are not interactive at all.

You have a very interesting page and Facebook ad will definitely work for you.

You've asked "How can I pay per like"? you can't do that. But Facebook can optimize your ad to get more likes. The payment is based on impressions only. So I'm not sure how well that works. The best method is to pay per click and make sure that when people click and enter your page, they like it. Have a good and humorous post pinned to the top.
But you can view the amount you have spent to gain a like, under reports section.

Let me give you a step by step overview
    • Fix a budget that you can spend per day.
    • Create good images to be used with your ads. They have to attract the ad viewers
    • The text in the ad is very limited and make sure that you use it well.
    • Now select targeting options. For your page audience within the age limit of 16-30 would be a good choice. If you want to limit your audience by a particular geographical location, you can do it here.
    • You can target only people that are not already connected to your page so that your ad don't show up on your fans' timeline.
    • Set a start date and end date to your campaign.
    • Facebook ad review takes almost a day. So if you want to start your campaign tomorrow, it is good to create it today and pause it or schedule it.
    • From personal experiences, Facebook ads work well than sponsored stories. Since you have a page for humor, it'd be nice to experiment with sponsored stories as well.
    Hope this will help you!

It depends upon your friend list. If you have many friends and you are regular facebook user, you can get facebook fan page likes, but it requires you to update your facebook fan page with informative stuff regularly.
