G+ page vs profile, how many badges do you use?

How many Google plus badges do you use on your site?

Set up google plus page for my brand, just for seo reasons--to get found in search results or on G+.

Set up google plus profile for the benefit of my face next to posts and the increased Google love.

Do you link to your company page at all?

Or do you just show a profile badge in your sidebar?

Or do you have the page badge in the footer or something?

Obviously it makes more sense to post entirely to my profile and leave my page as a static billboard basically. But what way makes the most sense to you?

I’d explain it to you, but your brain would explode.

I have a Google+ profile and page but so far only use one Google+ badge on my site. It seems to be sufficient to get shares of my content.

Just one badge in my opinion (although, as ever, Google could be clearer about this).

I think that you have to decide whether you want to link the site to your business (use your business page badge on the site) or with you personally (use your personal badge).

Advantage of using your personal profile is that you can include Google authorship (rel="author") and you'll get your photo next to your listing in search results. This doesn't work with the company equivalent (rel="publisher") although you are eligable for direct connect with your business page.

I'd go with the image that you want to portray to your target audience - a professional/business use your page badge, a personal image use your personal badge.

I'd like to not use the personal profile at all, but it seems that there is an seo advantage to having the profile pic in search results. And it is shown to increase clickthrough. Hard to beat that. And my personal preference for the business image does not outweigh the potential monetary advantage of the profile.

Search engine users will make an emotional connection with you quicker if they can see your photo. The photo personalizes the search experience. Those people will like to know who is behind the content. When you have a photo it's not just some nameless faceless conglomerate but an actual writer. That could be one reason for higher click throughs to your personal profile when your author's image is show in search results.

Yes, and not just clickthroughs to profile, but also to actual page shown in the search result.

Everywhere else I have a company logo, but will use the profile for G+ on my site instead.

Am considering the same for Facebook, but not sure yet. It doesnt have the same SERP advantage, just basically for facebook users.
