How to make money from a facebook page?

Hi guys, new to the forum, I've browsed through quite a bit in the past and finally decided to make an account.

I started a facebook page last week and it has got around 500 likes and is steadily increasing each day. The page is all about cars and I basically just post pictures of cars and links to cool videos.

I bought the domain name for the page name with Go Daddy and it gave me a 100$ google adwords credit. I dont know if that would be of use for the page or not.

I would like some suggestions for making some money off this. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Cameron

Once you have built up more of a following, you could begin to post links to relevant affiliate products. Pretty basic strategy but once you have built a strong following, even converting at a low rate could be potentially lucrative.

Where can I find legit affiliate products? Is there a good trusted source?

One way is to add the url for your website to any photos you have on your FB page, and also include your url in the description of the photo. Assuming your web site has some kind of lead capture, people would then potentially be directed to your site whenever they view your page or any picture on your page. Also, engage with the people who like your posts and comments on your fan page - check out their page, like their stuff. It's all about creating a following...

Yes the credit for adwords can be used, but i will strongly recommend to read the terms and condition of adwords before advertising, i got my account banned for lifetime, they are merciless in this respect

Like you have page of cars i would recommend to make an ebook regarding it and use it for opt in's later send affiliate products related to your niche to the gathered email list...
You can outsource this part, like you can make an ebook "Cars driven by top 100 Celebrities" or "cars used by most powerful persons of the world"
You just need to think a bit out of the box and it can help you a lot

That type of e-book sounds relatively easy to put together.......it's very visual and doesn't require a lot of writing abaility!......great advice.

I think I should be more focused on building a good website and using the amount of likes I have on my page to encourage them to go to my website. Then maybe set up adsense or sell some sort of product.

I am not a very good writer so I don't know about writing an e-book.

    Any other suggestions?

    Hi Cameron92---

Use that Fan page traffic to your advantage! Use "Side Door Marketing" --It is simple. You already have 500+ LIKES.

Spend $1 a day on a paid FB campaign for LIKES.

I usually get 75 to 200 LIKES a day only spending $1 a day on FB on a bad day. If you do this for a week or 2 think about how many people you can put an affiliate link in front of!

A percentage of people almost always take action on a "make money online" product. Just choose your pics carefully.

You can make this money from FB traffic easily with a fanpage with 3k or better LIKES.

Go to Fan Page List - The List of Official Facebook Fan Pages & Twitter Users and look at the hottest fan pages! You could just make Community pages around Hot Niche Fanpages that are already proven to be popular!

Traffic is Traffic but FB allows you to target your audience when you are buying LIKES.

I recommend to FOCUS on building up your LIKES. The bigger the fan page gets the more you will make with just affiliate marketing.

Even a low conversion rate will still make decent revenue if you have a large following for the page.

Try offervault.com or odigger.com to find out affiliate offers / networks. Once you find a good offer to promote, you'll have to join that network and get approved before you can start to promote.

Brother growing facebook pages and monetize them is the wisest choice. I built my page and turned into 400K++ fans. Now I am just counting cash

That's impressive.........did you have to spend a lot on advertising .....or did you grow these fans 'organically'?...................and how long did it take you to get to these numbers?

    Hi Cameron,

I run over 50 pages and been making a steady income from it for a couple of years.

There are plenty of ways to monetize traffic from Facebook, however it's not as simple as it seems.
My advice would be to first build up your likes to at least 5k plus. From my own experience as soon as you start to promote/advertise or link to sites from pages you lose a lot of engagement which slows down your likes.

From what you are saying you are getting steady likes each day, i would keep at it and keep your fans engaged. Say 6 months down the line you will have 5k possibly 50k likes.

    Ways to monetize:
Some pages i set up with the sole end result being to promote a clickbank product.
    For example:
I set up Baby page for mums, spent 1 hour a week pre-scheduling the posts for the week ahead.
Did this for around 3 months (also with cheap facebook ad's) until i had a good few thousand likes, then literally spam the shit out of it with a clickbank product.
That page is then dead in my opinion but the idea works well and brings in a good couple of grand each time.

If you are looking for longer term then put together a simple wordpress site with your photos, then bring traffic to it from facebook. Surround the photos with google ad's or if cars then try a poker ad or adult dating advert.

When doing this my best results have come from posting on a 20/80 basis. So 80% of the posts will be photos on facebook and the other 20 will be links to photos on the site.

The money is not as good as the first method but if you're looking for a longer term thing then its ideal.

    Other ways,
Static ad page from a tab on the page,
    Selling posts on Fiverr.
Contacting car businesses, car product sellers (ebay) and asking if they would like to promote via your page.
Using the page to gather emails to start a list to promote to.

Facebook is great for making money, just a case of building fans to start with.
Some pages with low likes make huge money by using cheap facebook ad's and promoting posts with affiliate ad's in.

    All the best

    Daz

Once your likes are in the 1000's then look at your fan base and work out what would sell best, ask questions on certain products or do polls, that sort of thing.

Thanks for the info I really appreciate it. In the past two days, my likes have almost tripled sitting at around 1400 now. A lot of my traffic is from India and the most popular being New Zealand. This kind of worries me but as long as people see high likes there more likely to like the page themselves, at least that's true for myself. ( I usually wont like a page unless it has a decent number of likes, just doesn't look legit.)

I think I would prefer a more long term option but if I could walk out with a couple grand from this I'm laughing. I have a website pretty much set up and like I said in my above post I have 100$ in adwords credits. Just don't know how to apply them, I'm looking for tutorials, I just don't know what to search for exactly.

I will definitely consider selling ad space on the page. I will probably wait till I get up to around 5000 likes, like you say and then contact some sellers.

Do you have any recommendations for clickbank sites?

My end goal is 100 bucks a week. I don't know if that will be achievable, but it would be great if I could get to that. It would pay for my gas to school for the week .

Thanks again, this site is extremely helpful. Keep the recommendations coming!!

        Cameron,

If male orientated and you have a few thousand likes then try this:
        ww.thetaoofbadass.com
        Affiliate info is on Clickbank.

I have a male orientated page which this has worked VERY well with.
But as i said before, it will kill the page.

If your page is growing quickly then why not make more pages which you promote from your cars page.
Page names like "Girls and Cars" etc.
Doing this will give you a network of pages and if you kill one then so be it.

As far as adwords go, i haven't used them for years, I was using them when the online casinos were all starting and paying $200-350 per signup.
        (Those were the days)

Most of my ad's are now done via Facebook or private sites so couldn't advise.

Sounds like you have a good little page in the makings.

        Good luck.
