Social Media vs article marketing and press releases.

I have submitted press releases and articles to multiple sites. Do article directories and press release distribution sites rely on social media (adding friends and contacts)

When you do article marketing or press releases, how do you get people to see or like your article? I see lots of articles and press releases that have something like 345 likes or comments.

I post articles to my blogs, and I submit them to other websites like Angies List business center, ezines, etc... When they publish I go to the URL copy it, then go to my social networking sites like fb, twitter, etc... and link the URL there. Make sure to submit a picture with your articles that way when you post them on facebook it will show it on your post. Share it to your personal fb/twitter accts, get other people to share them and like them, and that is how you get the word out about your articles on social media.

So it is true that almost anything on the internet these days relies on social media and nothing is separate from it?

Blogs, Press Releases, Articles, Forums, Vlogs, Videos, Podcasts, Webinars, etc... rely on social media

I have a YouTube account that has about 400 subscribers, however most of the friends on Facebook were from my high school that I didn't like and have about 130, and I just started using Twitter.

So what if you are low on social media friends tweets or subscribers. How long is going to take before I get a lot of friends and contacts and some sales?

I thought submitting articles or press releases to the directories didn't evolve social media, and all you had to do was submit them, and these articles and press releases would automatically be ranked in the search engines.

Social media advertising is not what its cracked up to be anymore... The only thing that works to a small sense are Twitter retweets.... but for that to be successful you have to catch lightning in bottle

First I recomend you use the site If This Then That

This will help you tramendously when you are trying to get some attention. The site is free and it basically allows you to auto post your new article to any of your other accounts.. Very useful tool.

Social media is a big part of marketing your articles weather they are on your site or not. You should add social sharing to all of your posts if it is possible.

Social networks have so much traffic you would almost be crazy not to be submitting your new work to them.

I find Google to be the best for getting me traffic. I post my new article to Google+ and within a few hours I am getting traffic.

The other thing that you want is a great headline. These days I find it more important to have a attention grabbing headline rather than a key word headline.

I know we write articles to catch keywords but if you get shared because your headline is great you will get way more traffic by going viral then you will catching the key phrase.

Just my thoughts hope this helps

    Good Luck..

Your Google+ traffic that you're mentioning - do you have friends on your Google+? And are these the users who send the traffic to your links?

Need to know because I don't have anyone added on my Google+ and need to know if there's any use to posting our links there or not.

Articles marketing for traffic is not all that effective now. Press releases do rank well on Google and can get you a lot of traffic. However you'll have to submit your press release to paid sites like prweb to get the real benefit of press release. There are gigs on fiver that can help you to submit to top press release sites including prweb
