Google+ vs. Facebook

Having a Google+ does make your more visible to the search engines but Facebook has more users and a bigger community.

To be safe, just use both.

I find Google+ is better for targeted followers who are generally interested in hearing what you have to say, G+ allows you to connect with people like that in a better way than you can with Facebook.

However, on Facebook you will get many more followers and lots of traffic but many of these followers won't be as committed and interested as the people on Google+.

It does not matter which one is better. In the long run, no one knows what might come as a winner. There are quick ups and down and people do get bored of same. Sometimes back, it was yahoo, then google and now Facebook. You can never predict.

G+ is starting to catch up to Facebook since I think that Google is finding out that social media is growing so fast. I find that Facebook works better for me but that's my preference. But like John Jonas says and agree, stick with both cause I use g+ sometimes, what can it hurt, right?

No way, Google+ is popular but not as so i still prefer Facebook as my choice since i get more traffic.

I like to prefer Google Plus because its a Google's Product and we can target keywords in hash tags in our posts. It also helps in increase Google Rankings.

Google made it clear that they want Google+ to be more relevant so they connected it to Youtube and they surely gave it high factor on SEO.
So today i think that Google+ is something every business need.

Google is gaining a great deal of interest and with good measure. It not merely beats Facebook on Search Engine Optimisation but in addition on the opportunity to specialized niche. My advice? Get on there now and begin using it to ride the wave, as opposed to collision underneath it.

If you are looking at facebook for marketing purpose then it is really great, provides good opportunites for business, google+ doesn't provide such opps but it is good for search engine exposure and specially links from google+ are dofollow.

For me, facebook is king for traffic, although I actually get a ton more traffic from youtube than either of them.

google+ can help your rankings though so it's not completely worthless. If I had to choose between the 2 I'd go with facebook every time though.

G+ may be new but it helps to get more traffic from Google search. Facebook on the other hand increases interactions. So both has their benefits.

Both have their pros and cons but facebook is more favored than Google+ because of its convenient and life time

For SEO side google+ is better then face book.....But the other side face book is better then google+......

Google is nice but facebook is fantastic. I would give my vote to Facebook.

I like to prefer Google Plus because we can target our keywords and drive traffic too. It is also Google's Product and it helps to increase in Google Rankings.

Essentially Google+ will only work for you if you plan on being very active there, not only putting up posts on your own page or profile but also commenting on other people's posts. The more you talk on that site and associate with others in your niche, the more contacts you will make.

Well both are good I however, separate the user groups in each as FB has casual users and Googl+ has professional users. So when you do your social media marketing look closely to whom its intended to and take action accordingly.

google plus is good for ranking and facebook is good for sharing.
you can add as many people in your circles in google plus but in case of facebook you can't send requests to known person ..you will got banned sooner or later.
So google plus is best now days.

Both are different platforms. Google is used to search for stuff online. FB is a social networking site. So, why waste time comparing? They are both giants and they are both forerunners in their fields.

If you have a limited amount of time and can only build one page up then what are your goals? Who are you trying to reach? Does SEO factor into you decision? Without knowing specific details about what you are trying to accomplish it is impossible to choose one over the other. The best answer is doing both, but that is not what you were asking.

Hang on both networks. Each provides you with benefits. G Plus is more user friendly, Facebook members are a bigger group.

G + banned my old account; I added a new one 2 days ago and things are taking off already. G + is also much less tolerant of spam which helps creative a high energy community.

With that said I like using FB too to make friends and share value.

Depends on what you mean by 'better'. I find more traffic and traction from Google+ for marketing. For personal uses, I don't think I would log on to Google + to catch up with friends.

Both Of them have their Own values, It's depend on your need's. If you want to target the users and want to convert them in leads, I will suggest to use the Facebook then(as Facebook has good number of users and potential buyers, which may dramatically enhance the traffic and the leads.). In the term of SEO - facebook use to transmit the social signals to the search engines (Google and Bing), which can help to enhance the SERP.
But in the term of Google+, (as we know it is just a growing network). It will not help you too much to enhance the leads but in the term of SEO, the Google+ has stronger social signal than the facebook, that means sharing on the Google+ will help you to rank higher than the facebook shares. If we are going in the detail, why Google+ is stronger then Facebook? We will find that Google+ is the product of Google Company which has been lunched to fight with Facebook directly (After a flop show of Orkut), Google was forced tointroduce something new to fight with Facebook, they have selected the Google+ signals to fight with, and they succeed.! By the way moving ahead with histroy of the Facebook and google fight, I returning on your question. try to go through the both, but If you are forced to select on use Google+.

It is hard to comment on it which is better but I feel that country like India and all over world google+ reach is not as much as facebook yet. So no doubt still google+ can't beat facebook with its users number they can't get over FB.

I'd never thought I'd say this but Google+ is better by a long shot. When it first came out I admit, I hated it and didn't think it would gain any true interest.

I prefer Google+ over Facebook and I hardly even get on FB anymore. I've even thought about closing my FB account!

Google+ plus is a much more "quiet" and intimate platform for networking with potential clients and customers. And it's look and feel is just cleaner. Not to mention, there's no ads there, yet, I should say. However, when they do decide to incorporate ads, I don't believe they'll be as obnoxious and as intrusive as FB because the community there is more mature and professional in my opinion.

All in all, Google+ is IT and I will be dwelling there for a long time to come.

the problem with google + is amount of time average user stays there....its not long at all. That means they are bored with it. But its creator is also gatekeeper for search engine. So its worth creating an account and testing it lightly. Facebook soon will become expensive for individual and small business so I suggest finding social media platforms that are earlier in their growth phase (pinterest, instagram) where your content will get seen more easily. Also, and this gets glossed over way too often on here...find social media that converts for you. Without conversions your social media time spent has no value to you.

I use Google+ more for blogging and pushing posts and facebook for personal friends as not all are on G+

Yes Google+ is better than facebook

I think Google is trying to force people to use Google+ but Facebook in my opinion is still on top of Google+, but that depends on how you use both websites, number of friends you have and the engagement, for some people Google+ brings them more traffic while others get more traffic from Facebook. You have to test by your own to get the best answer for yourself.

I like Google+ better ever since they introduced communities.
