Hi there,

My name is Taz and I am just starting to do get in Facebook marketing. My question is, what is the best way to approach facebook?

I was thinking of making fan pages of some of the products I want to promote and then using these fan pages when commenting on relevant topics. Is this a viable approach?

Please share your tips as I am really interested in learning how you guys are marketing your products on facebook.

Thanks
Taz

    Hey there Taz!

I myself am starting off in facebook marketing and theres aot of ways to promote your product. The way I advetising is pcc(Pay per Click) ads but there is also other Organic ways like getting Tatgerted likes and promoting to them.

That seems pretty effective but your gonna have to be posting alot of comments but I wouldnt reccomend it as there is easier ways in selling your product on facebook Pm me If your intrested in ppc Ill recommed you to a wso half off.

Get ready to dig into your pockets because thats exactly what facebook wants you to do. They want you to create a fan page. Then they want you to start buying likes thru ads. And then (and this is happening as we speak) they want you to pay for your post to be seen by your fans in their feed.

Facebook recently finally admitted the % of your fan page post showing up in your fans feed is decreasing and will eventually pretty much go away. But...you have the option to pay for your post to be seen by fans and facebook with bump of the % of your fans who see it.

Another option that seems to be doing much better is to create your personal page and intertwine your personal life with your business. From those who I have spoken with the ratio should be 4:1. Meaning 4 post about something interesting, funny in your life and then 1 post in a non spammy way about your business or product.

note: the personal page post are not being filtered (yet) by edgerank.

I have been looking into facebook marketing and even in most groups where they are being moderated, all I am seeing is spammy posts about products and most of them are actually linking outside of facebook. I was assuming that facebook does not like that as one of their main goal is to keep people longer in their platform. So I was thinking, instead of linking to a website, I should just start building some sales pages through the fan page tab and if I start promoting using posts, I can just put up links to these fanpage/salespage. I still think as a few of you have pointed out, PPC might be the fastest way to monetize using facebook. But I also want to build up a solid relationship with other people as well.

As always, all your tips are welcome.

Taz, facebook is a great platform to practice your relationship building. It's one of the social network that you need to be socially engaging and not focus on doing social. How will you do it? Improve on the posts you are making. If you want to learn more, you can send me a pm.

        Hi Taz,

Yes there are a number of different ways you can promote on Facebook, you mentioned a few already for long term a fan page is good you can get more exposure by adding fb ppc this way you can choose you target market. One of the best way's to use ppc in Facebook is to send it to a opt-in page then you can build a list or sell products.

As long as you are active in Facebook you can't go wrong, best to try a few thing to start with just to get some feed back. What we do know about Facebook is there is huge amount of traffic, so it could well pay off for you best of luck!

  • Are you on Facebook?

Why do you create a Facebook account?

    Think about this.

    It is about socializing.

    Advertisement comes later.

    You don't need a page.

I don't use a fan page for my business so that is from my experience - try and error - you can succeed with it.

    I use group.

    It is easier.

    Share cool stories.

    I got heaps.

    Entertainment.

I got stalk because of being so "nice".

    Bittersweet - I wrote that.

You know what, she hates me so bad.

That is how the sale is going because they notice you.

I've found the best way to market on Facebook is to create a fan page and use boosted posts and CPC ads to sell products to people while building the fan page. Mix in posts that are of interest to the people who like the page and you'll get a lot more organic likes as people like and share your posts.

I have some Facebook pages that are getting ridiculous reach right now because the people on the pages are highly engaged. It takes money and time to build a highly-engaged page now, but once you do, you can hand-feed them items you want them to buy and they eat them up like crazy. The only posts I pay to advertise are posts selling products and I get a ton of page likes from those posts and end up making money on the items I'm selling.

Create A proffesional page on Facebook, you can search on Fiverr.com for people that will design your header for 5$. Than go to FB groups and advertise your page, invite people to like it. And keep posting in your page all the time.

What I am about to say is of vital importance. You will not be successful if you create a Facebook page with the goal to simply SELL products. You have to provide value to your audience before they will ever trust you enough to purchase from you. Create a fan page and update with insightful, helpful posts that people within your niche would want to read. Post pictures, polls, quotes, articles, anything that you actually find interesting, share it with your audience. This will help you build a community. Once you've built a community (which will take some time), then you can begin marketing and advertising every now and then through posts.

You can always market your products through custom tabs. This gets your offer in front of people without your prospects feeling threatened or attacked. But never be aggressive in your sales. That will only turn people off.
