Why post to FB Fan Page Every few Hours?

I noticed two fan pages that are posting like crazy, a new post every 2-3 hours. More than 10 times a day.

Will somehow frequency of posting on your fan page bring you more FB organic traffic?

If I i were their fan I would dislike them straight away I don't want to see more than 2-3 posts from same pages a day. It is just a junk.

Actually, if the page is real "social" page, those fans keep on coming back...they love to come back...I for example love law of attraction and am a fan of their fan page, and I love reading their stuff.

Their latest post has 4974 likes and 849 shares. They post ever 5-6 hours, but there is no set rule.

I know this one fan page that grew by 100K in few months, and those people post 10-20 posts daily.

keep in mind, not ever post will show up in your news feed.

Yeah, that is exactly what I did. Guy just pumped 10 photos of raving bulldogs straight into my face. Like, one a day would be enough, but he totally swamped my news feed.

OK, that aside, I understand that this is good stragegy to engage existing fans, but how will it work to acquire new likes. I am starting from 0 (and I don't want to buy virtual Likes). What I am trying to say, if I am posting 10 posts per day I am posting them into empty space? Will this bring new "Likes" from real people?

Because the average news feed post by a Facebook Page receives Likes and comments for 3 hours after being published. To maximize the engagement, impressions, and traffic driven by the news feed, Facebook Page owners should wait at least 3 hours between posts.

Posting on your FB page is good but keep in mind not more that to posts per day. Because if people who liked your page are just getting your page updates on their timelines except anything else then they will surely unlike your page. So post at right time and not more posts a day.

OK, so what is the best method to gets loads of new (genuine US, Canada & UK) Likes? I am currently doing sponsored stories and it is working out $0.12 per like. But I can't get more than 20 per day, on audience of 14.5 million.

The frequency of posting is important if you have variety of posts that engage your fans. Like for example Mashable. It posts a lot everyday but its fans love what they post because it's entertaining, it's informative and it adds value to them. I'm working on with FB fan pages and so far, I had not spend any on facebook ads but I was able to gather fans who loves the content I'm posting.

Because no one else does, they usually just complain about people 'threatening' to unlike the page.

And every 2-3 hours really isn't that much, I consider that average.

I have been posting at least 25 times a day for about a year now on my best page, and out of thousands and thousands and thousands and thousands of people...

Only 1 person has said something.

And yes, the more you post, the more people are going to see your page, posts, links, etc.

This is assuming the posts provide value. A fine line between providing value and spamming.
