targeted friends will be story of FB in 2014

with Facebook basically turning off faucet on page post (unless you want to pay) I think there will be shift among entrepreneurs to move back to personal accounts that will intertwine their personal life with their business life. These will be true virtual personal accounts as you will not personally have met these friends. Getting 'targeted friends' to add you will be key. Enter Facebook Graph Search. A new powerful way to data mine your target group. I also think FB groups can be good way to add friends. However, the challenge is to get the right friends to add you. You could join groups in your niche or even gaming groups and once you establish a healthy number of friends you can unfriend ones who clearly don't fit your market. This will make things more relevant for you and for them. thoughts?

    I see this all the time with especially small businesses. Owners are using their personal accounts in addition to biz page. FB prob doesn't give a crap about them as they want to target larger biz that they believe will pay. This creates an opportunity to help small/med businesses connect with people.

    This is a great lesson in striving to create your own list of customers and establish direct communication via mobile, email, phone, direct mail, or on your own website social media setup.

    It will really be a great idea to be able to target the kind of friends that add you as contacts. I think the graph search is really a cool tool for helping marketers geo target their audience when placings ads.
