Why do less people see facebook posts with an image, than without?

Hi all,

Hope you can help as the situation is proving mighty vexing.

For some reason whenever I post a picture in my facebook posts they get barely any views, but when I don't I get multiple hundreds of views.

Any ideas?

    I am not sure i understand,if you don't post the picture how do you collect the hundreds of likes?

    • It is just a txt post which gets hundreds of likes, a combination of txt + img is my issue.
  • I recently noticed the same exact thing. I will only be posting text from now on, or until it changes. I have a feeling it's seen less because it takes up more space.

    • Facebook changes how this works every once in a while, especially when large numbers of people try to game their system. Use a matrix chart and keep track of what kind of posts you make and make sure you vary the type and the timing.

  • You can always trust Facebook to keep you on your toes. I hadn't noticed this change. I do generally find pictures are more effective than text, but I do think it depends on the amount of posting and engaging your do with others.
