Simple trick to dramatically increase your profits

If you have been collecting leads for a while you know what is a Thank You page. For those who are new to this business, a Thank You page that the subscriber lands on after you collect his name and email.

As the name implies, on this page you thank the subscriber for giving you his email and in return you will provide him the free gift that you have promised in the opt-in page.

Here is a trick that will take advantage of your Thank You page to increase your profits. Instead of downloading the free gift from the Thank You page itself mention that the gift will be emailed to him. Now you can use the Thank You page to introduce the subscriber to an affiliate product. At this stage the prospects are ready to buy and many of them will go for the affiliate product. This will put more money in your pocket.

      This depends a lot on the subscriber's email system. If you try to email an attachment sometimes that won't go through.

      If you send them to a thank you for signing up page, explaining how your free gift is going to get to them and have an affiliate link there, that can work too.

      Or sometimes, an affiliate link on your download page.

      All good plans, but emailing an attachment sometimes just doesn't work through no fault of yours or the subscriber, but you bear the brunt of their irritation if it doesn't work right.

        Good remark Micheal. A simple solution would be to include the URL in the email. This way they can go to the URL directly to download the report.

          Yes, that's the way I always do it in my existing lists - then if they aren't willing to look in their spam folder (where an increasing amount of legit emails are ending up) they don't get the gift.

          I always warn them in email 1 to whitelist me (with link to a page to tell them how to do it. And they get to see another related offer there ) and that many goodies I'll be providing may well, incorrectly, end up in their spam folder.

          But, frankly, the lowering rates of opens (due to filtering etc - about 27% now never get seen) has prompted me to use a SaaS/SMS platform - they get my email on their smartphone/mobile device immediately and 99% read them right then. So my list is comprised of targeted sms text optins and I know we are actually communicating and forming a relationship. I guess that's part of why my sales and recruiting conversion rates are so high.

    LeadPages has a good system for this. You can use their lead magnet system to deliver the download and present them with a thank you page that can lead to a related affiliate or even your own product.
