Now that Facebook has completely revamped its algorithm I guess I better figure out Facebook Ads.

Can someone recommend some sites or books on the subject. Please don't tell about webinars. I don't have time to sit around an hour for a sales pitch.

Thanks,
Mike

Facebook changed how often they show your fan page content on someone's wall. This means your posts get less reach unless you pay for traffic.

Yeh, organic reach sucks. I see less than 10% organic reach. So a page of mine with 2000 likes, gets 200ish views per post, and around 10-20 likes. So 10 likes from 2000 people is so depressing haha. Ads work wonders for reach and social signals. Facebook just wants your money, which is fine if you can get a positive ROI, but it makes it very hard for most.

I have been using a fanpage with 290K likes to push traffic to a related blog. I had been getting 10,000 hits a day making $100 a day on Adsense. Since last weekend the traffic has dropped to about 3,000 hits and $30 a day. I am still doing the same thing, but need to really work more on the list and selling products to them.

Thanks for the tip on Don Wilson.

Hi Mike. A better idea would be to build a list. Selling products to your fans is a hit or miss. When you have them on your list you can promote to them again and again thus increasing your chances of closing a sale.

Facebook Ads work pretty well as a lead generating tool. I recommend that you check out Amy Porterfield. She is the best source of information for Facebook marketing.

It's better to use their paid traffic. Just make sure that your Facebook ad is laser targeted to get the highest CTR possible and lower your cost. And use an image and ad copy that will get a lot of clicks.

I am confused on this change. Does the reach change effect people who pay for likes? Or does it only effect people who do not pay for likes?

I am paying to promote my fanpage so does this reach change effect me since I am running facebook ads? Thanks

It just dont make sense. A fanpage is when people like a page to stay up to date about the fanpage. So why would you pay again to reach your own fans? that is just unfair!
