Hi guys,

I am a CB + YT guy!

Just would like to know which one of the above shorteners is better to be used to cloak the CB affiliate links and can help the conversion rate please? i know that nothing is like a real domain though!

    I don't know what YT or CB is but the best option is to install z.ips.me on your own server and use it to cloak your links. Otherwise either choice you listed is fine... it's just that popular url shortening sites tend to end up blacklisted on big sites.

    Hosting your own link shortener is easy if you use z.ips.me

    It is open source and takes about 15 minutes to setup.

      Are you sure that z.ip.me works with Clickbank and Youtube?! i don't have any website, so how to cloak my affiliate links with it?

    If it works on craigslist with adfly I'll almost guarantee it. If you would like I'll be happy to PM you a link created on my own installation so you can try it out. Just PM me a link from clickbank that you want to cloak and I'll run it through my shortener and PM you the shortened link. You can try it out and post back the results here.

    Also... if you don't have your own hosting and want an install of your own I could work something out with you. We'll discuss it further if we determine it works.

    All I ask is that you not reveal my domain for it publicly as I'd rather as few folk as possible even know the domain. It's not accessible without a password but I'd hate for someone to be all dickish and report it to get it blacklisted. I could easily shuck out another few bucks for a new domain but I'd rather not until such time as I have to.

      You have 2 options because tinyurl is basically blacklisted everywhere. I have used hit.ly and owl.ly to cloak my scheduled post links on FB and have not had any issues.ni suggest getting a free hootsuite account and just inputting your aff link in and cloak it from there. So far so good with that method.
