    Hi,
Well first of all I would like to wish you the best luck with your journey. To Answer your question working online is more comforting than regular jobs but it's still a job, you should note that it requires dedication, skills, time and effort. It's just a job that you have a control on it's timing and what has to be done.

Working online for yourself requires a skillset that is different from what is required to work a job. Remember when you work for yourself, you are running a business, not working a job.

If you are comfortable running the entire show by yourself, working from home may be for you. If you are not self-motivated, forget working online from home.

"Which one is better - working online or offline?"

      Depends what you're doing!

I have loads of online sites and two offline businesses. They all have their own problems and advantages - and I'm not sure there are many 'offline' businesses that don't need a presence on the web.

The main advantages of online are; work from the comfort of your own home or where ever you please, work at your own pace, high rewards for hard work -
What you don't get are staff problems, trucks breaking down, fuel bills, health and safety issues, employment tribunals, stupid rules, etc, etc,...
If I began again I'd just work online delivering digital products to avoid all the aggravation.

In my own opinion - it comes down to what you are comfortable with.

If you are willing to put in your own time, and keep to it persistently, you CAN do VERY well with home/internet opportunities.

If you are having a hard time holding yourself to a schedule, or you give up easily, then you may want to stick with a regular job.

Not everyone is cut out for being an entrepreneur!

I would say that these are the most important factors to consider:

    1. Are you happy with what you are earning from your job? (I would guess, since you posted the question, that you aren't)
    2. Do you enjoy what you are doing?
    3. Are you ready to persist, even if you get knocked down?
    4. Do you know what your goals are?
    5. Do you have an opportunity that is going to work, if you are doing your own thing?

Find an opportunity that has been shown to have results, let people know about it, and keep studying to improve yourself.

    Hope that helps!

Over years I have bounced, from corporate to self employed (on and offline). For myself it depends on my current circumstances, what is peaking my interest and where I feel I can contribute the most.

But with my own online business, I have more than a few weeks a year that I can travel In the corporate world having only 3 or 4 weeks a year to travel, for the next 20 plus years is not appealing.

My advice, a schedule and do what you like least first thing during the day and get it out of the way.

    Good Luck!

What ever you do, Online Job or a Regular Offline Job, requires DEDICATION. You need to concentrate on anything you do, work hard, be patient and most importantly be confident on whatever you are doing. The positive results are bound to follow.

REMEMBER : THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO WILL ALWAYS SAY NEGATIVE THINGS ABOUT ONLINE INCOME IN REAL LIFE. IGNORE THEM AND STAY FOCUSED. SUCCESS IS BOUND TO COME.

A regular job is permanent eh? Tell that the the millions of unemployed / laid off people right now. Working online is MUCH more stable as YOU are in control, not some company who cares nothing for you. (been working online for just over 5 years and havent missed a supper yet)

Don't quit your day job (if you have one) while building your online business, especially since you're just getting started.

And if you don't have a job, GET ONE so you have steady money to live on while you grow your online income stream.

Then when you're making as much as you make at your job from your online business for 3-6 months, then you'll be in a position to make some decisions.

If you like your job, keep both.

If you hate your job, be sure your business can sustain and grow, then tell your boss to stick it where the sun don't shine

This is great advice, one I can confirm from experience. Though I have been working online for 5 years, it actually took me 2 years of working a 'job' and doing online work at night as a second job until I could be full time online.

    answer = it depends

I've worked in 'permanent jobs' (and been made redundant), in contract roles that supposedly offer less security (but where I've had roles extended for over 3 years) and also running my own online business.

Contracting definitely pays well (providing you are in a contract), but you can easily be working all year and find it hard to take time off as you are 'losing money'......

Online work gives you the opportunity to have more control over family life, working hours and the chance to earn significantly more than a permanent employee.

But make no mistake - WFH is not an instant push button to success or a millionaire lifestyle overnight, and its not something that you can necessarily run in a few hours per week - it takes time and discipline, but is also a lot of fun and rewarding - not just financially.....

you really just need to be clear what your motivating factors are, and is it a good fit for your personality type!!

Working online from home might seem like the ideal 'job' but there are so many obstacles. For one thing, you will need private work space without interruptions and often will work many more hours daily (sunup to sundown) than a regular office worker would to earn the same money a 'real world' job earns. That's assuming you are lucky enough to find the gold niche you need to make a living with your online efforts.

In regular job, life is way more monotonous, in most cases, you will have to keep doing the same task everyday. This is secured but boring, medium start(salary) less risk less gain.
On the other hand, in online business, you will have to look for new policies everyday, which is challenging and interesting, small start(earning) more dynamic but finally better gain.

Well, It depends on what you are good and what is your passion.

If you love innovations, Testing out new things, Don't get frustrated too early, Have money and/or time and not expecting much early. Then you should defiantly consider working from home more seriously.

In regular jobs, On average most have to stick with one and the rises comes quit slowly where as in online jobs, They are mostly short term but is much more easy to polish your skills which ultimately help you increase your hourly rate much quickly.

Working for myself has two major benefits to me, benefits which no job will ever offer.

      Security

To put it simply, I can't be fired. No matter what I do, I will never lose this "job". I make my own money, I call all the shots. There is no one above me. If one source of income dries up, I just find a new one and rely on multiple other sources until I find a replacement.

When you work a regular job, you can be fired at any time. You could work for a company for 15 years, be the best at what you do, never miss a day and never screw up. Then, one day, you show up to work and it's all over.

      Time

Jobs take up way too much of your time. Sure, you get a steady paycheck, you know how much you'll get and when. Some weeks I make more than others. There have been weeks where I don't make anything but you know what? It doesn't eat up 160 hours of my life every month.

I can do whatever I want, whenever I want, so long as I get my work done. Don't get me wrong, there is plenty of work to do and it can often take time. When you work for yourself, however, you decide when you work and what you do.

The time we have on this planet is precious and all too fleeting. I'd rather make less money and avoid spending a vast majority of my life in a cubicle than make 7 figures and work 60 hours a week for someone else.

So it all depends. If you ask me, it's much better to work for yourself, whether that's online or off.

So well said. I remember having this revaluation once as I drove to my corporate management job: I am trading 5 days of working for 2 days to myself. It doesn't take a math whizz to realize the insanity of that. Not to mention the fact that on my "days off" I would live in constant apprehension that at any second my phone would ring and I would have to go in or do something for work, and half the time i ended up working at least one of those days off.

I can't speak for every "job", but in my corporate management experience you are stuck at a physical location for a minimum of 8 hours 5 days a week. Your accomplishments are only replaced with higher targets and your resources are continually stripped away. Someone else decides if you are successful or not.

Being self employed is work....a lot of work. But I have 100% of my time to do it. I think Jack Canfield said that being a "wage slave" is an outdated paradigm. If you have a job you love, then you can be fulfilled at a normal job. If not, you are trading way too much time and energy for a measly few thousand dollars a month. To me, being financially, professionally and logistically independent and free is worth more than all of the money in the world. I earn an abundant living being who I am and doing what I love. I decide if I am successful or not in my endeavors. I work from wherever I choose to each day. For me it's a no-brainer.

I agree with a lot of the post out there in that not everyone
is cut out to be an entrepreneur! I see people fail all the
time in the online business and blame the system or their
team or whatever, but truth is, it is your business and not
    theirs!

If people are using the same system and making money then
it can't be the system. I think there does need to be better
leaders out there but when it come down to it online marketing
is a real business and takes hard work to succeed.

That being said, lol, I defiantly like the residual income and
unlimited earning possibilities that are offered by an online marketing
    company.

I also think that an employee mindset doesn't work online and that
you have to be willing to grow as a person to succeed in this business.

Different strokes for different folks. Only you can decide if you are self-motivated, entrepreneurial, sales orientated or do you need a JOB environment structure. More security yet limited upside in terms of income. Know your strengths and abilities and apply them accordingly. Otherwise you'll be like a fish out of water.

Working at home online is way, way, way better.

For me the key is this:

Keep a work log of your hours with the task next to each hours.

Make sure you work at least 40 hours a week of solid work, not just hanging out on Facebook or doing things around the house.

This helps you know how long everything you do takes. It is really important so you can look back at the different tasks in your business.

No. Working at home is kind of a drag. Because think about it, if you work at home, then that means you are not getting out of the house. and if you don't get out of the house, you are not getting enough exercise. Going in to the office and staying in a professional environment is healthier for your body and you mind as well.

Good Luck! I've been working online for 5 years now. Couldn't imagine going back to a regular job. Although it kinda all depends on what your personality is like. I have a hard time working with schedules, bosses and those kinds of things. I prefer having clients and setting my own schedule. Although working online also has it's downsides, it's not all just sunshine and rainbows. Some people can't be without job security, which is not something very common when you work online. Unless you really hit it bigtime fast and don't have to worry about that.

My recommendation would be, don't quit your day job just yet. Start working on your online income in your free time, and make the leap once you feel confident about it.
