How i made $1,683 from a $50 Youtube Video with only 2,500 views

Or, Alternative title: The GOLDMINE of third party youtube tutorials.

Just want to share a potential goldmine that i found through experimentation on youtube. So, ok. Let me break it down.

The result:

I made over $1,600 from a single youtube video (that only got about 2,500 views on it) that cost me only $50 to have made.

And here's how i did it:

Step 1: I would look for youtubers who were 'broadly' within my niche, and creating tutorial videos with a subscriber count of 500+.

Step 2: I would message them, and ask if they would be interested in creating a tutorial with my product. (There is almost always an angle for this, with any product, if you are creative enough ).

Step 3: I would offer to pay them $50 for the video (usually resulted in a yes).

Step 4: I would create a discount for the product i was promoting and within the video i would make sure that in the beginning, mid way and towards the end it was mentioned that there was a discount (link in description), exclusive to the watchers of this video. Discount also mentioned in the video title.

Step 5: I would research not only the most relevant kw, but the most likely ones to watch the video then click through and convert to my offer. This is usually 'beginner' tutorial searchers. And send those kw to the youtuber to add to the video.

Once live i literally sat back and watched the sales come in, with a conversion rate of about 10%! I've never seen anything like it.

Hope this useful! Let me know if any of you have any questions on this or if it's clear at all!

    2) An incredibly useful post with a NEW idea (to me anyway).
    3) Given away FREE to the community for the betterment of the community.

Great idea. You mentioned creating a discount, how do you yourself create a discount for a product you are promoting? Or are you getting them to create the tutorial and about a product you yourself have created?

I was promoting my own product in this particular example. But i think it still applies with affiliate products as most are discounted by default. It's just a matter of mentioning it in the video.

If you're dealing with a product that isn't discounted, there's really no harm in approaching the affiliate network or vendor and asking them to provide one, i think. If the traffic source is solid (as this one tends to be), i can't see why they'd say no .
