915 likes in 3 days. Good enough? Some questions.

Hey guys.

I have created a Facebook page and I managed to get 915 likes in 3 days without buying them or using FB ads. Now what is interesting is that while it shows that "People Talking About This" number is 0, on admin panel People Talking About This number is ~1750. Which one should I believe? There relatively a lot likes and posts in my posts/pics/etc.

Now, since I am new in this thing, I have no idea whether this rate is good or not. Is it? Or maybe I am doing something wrong and am just wasting my time as the progress might be way too slow?

Regarding likes, I suspect that a lot of them comes from 3rd world countries. I heard they hardly are monetizable. For some reason FB does not allow me to look for more detailed demographic data (" Demographic data is only available when at least 30 people have seen your posts."). Is there any way to change that?

Also, regarding FB ads. How many likes does each day of FB advertising usually generates? What are the general guidelines of making a successful ad (how big an audience should be, what countries should be taken, age groups, etc. - if there is some kind of a already-made guideline, I would gladly read it)? Are they really worth it?

Thanks for the answers in advance.

The Facebook page insights take a few days to update. Once they do, you can see all of the data you have questions about in the page insights. Facebook generally only suggests that they might get you a like for $0.50 to $1 each based on your location. You can find lots of helpful YouTube videos from Facebook advertisers showing how to get likes for $0.01 each or less from a global audience.

What the hell is the good of a like? Does it get you any money? If so, I have no idea how.

Assuming you are asking something you already know, lets explain to those who dont !!! Likes are people who see your posts and follow your page. If you promote a monetized site or a product, those fb likes turn into $$$!

Buying likes as cheap as 0.1 cents is a popular trick being used by many "FB Like sellers" out there. Yes, they can quickly get you thousands of likes for a few dollars, and they are "legit" but what good is that if they are not targeted to specific BUYING prospects.

Why would I want a page with 20k Likes if most of them are from third world countries in which the chance of them buying your product are next to nothing?? NOT because they are from a 3rd world country but also because they have no real interest in your niche, and you simply used random pictures that you knew those people would surely click "like" on your page.

And what will happen when you drive a retargeting ad campaign to these people? That's when you'll REALLY have fun with this one (sarcastic tone).

Overall, people aren't stupid, when they look through your 20K likes and they'll quickly realize that something is up... and this won't reflect your business in good light.

    Just my 2 cents.

I'd love to hear from someone with a more optimistic view on this - well one that is true and without any BS. =D

Have you checked with the Facebook help/community section? All these questions should be answered there. Some are pretty vague as well, like how can one answer to how many times does each day of Facebook advertising usually generate? It will depend on a lot of things wouldn't it? Your targeting, your ad copy, ad title/headline, image, the day itself, so you wouldn't know, it's a question of testing? And a lot of testing what works, this all have to be relevant, and those are the guidelines.

Try and check the FB help, there are useful guidelines there.
