Hey deborahright,

Facebook's Organic reach is dead (Announced in December 2013) for Facebook pages for business. Means from now you have to first pay to get potential likes, after that you post anything on page you have to boost that post to get maximum reach.

On the other side you can go for Google+ add active people to your circles relevant to your business.There is no any kind of advertisement on Google+.

Depends on your market and how well you build an audience. However as jattmarketer said Facebook's Organic reach is dead and you now have to pay to be seen. google+ is growing in popularity due to anyone with a gmail account now automatically have a + account. Also YouTube members have been forced to integrate with google+ which has caused a litle friction.

Facebook, has drastically changed, the reach of audience is not like it use to be.. They have more or less concentrated on their PPC advertising, so if you want results, looks like you will need to donate....

Dude, obviously Facebook is the best. They are the ones who started the revolution in social media marketing. We were limited to the options in the previous social media sites, but now as you can see, you can set any kind of setting in your Facebook. So you tell me, who is more innovative, Google+ or Facebook?

Your not seeing it on a marketers perspective.

In terms of marketing through facebook or google+1

I would go for Google+1 just give them a few months.
reason for this like the above user said Gmail is the most widely used email address on the internet. Everyone that has a GMail will be linked to youtube( #1 video sharing website) then will be linked to G+1

And now that google added a new feature which will make the marketers life easy.
