What can I do with @facebook.com mail addresses?

by Jo Cullin 2 replies
Hi,

I have a group on Facebook and have about 1,200 members. I have a list of these members @facebook.com addresses.

Is there some way I can use these to send them a mass PM or even send them a regular email to their inboxes?

Or are they completely worthless?

You can use @facebook.com email adresses to email them directly into their facebook inbox. However, these emails won't be in their main inbox. After introducing this feature, facebook also introduced the "other" inbox, where all the "possibly spam from people you don't know" messages go. You have to pay to omit the "other" inbox and get straight into their main one.
So, all in all, they're not completely worthless, but you'd have to put forth some effort (and possibly cash) to reach out to these members.

Do you know how to bypass the "other" folder and get them into their main inboxes?

I tried sending to my own @facebook.com email from my regular email account...that message is nowhere to be found.
