facebook bids per impression or click?

for something like 8 cents i can get 1000 impressions on facebook ads.
assuming i will use the newsfeed and not the ads on the side, will people actually click on my ad?
or should i go for bids per click, which right now costs me 0.38$ ?

thanks

It all depends, u can't get definitive advice without knowing details.

I always say cpc because that way the person is clicking through to ur lp or site as opposed to someone just seeing ur ad and disregarding it. But then again depends on the ad copy and prospective offer.

Newsfeed ads will most likely cost more, depending on the locations you are targeting. If you are running ads to get clicks to your website, use the "Optimize for Clicks" option. If you are running ads to get likes to your fan page, use the "Optimize for Likes" option. This will save you money and give you a better CTR.

How about you run a test and find out for sure if 'people will actually click on the ad' anything we tell you is just a guess.

CPM may look cheaper than CPC, but many times you won't get enough clicks from CPM.
