Creating targeted FB campaigns

I have been reading about creating Custom audiences in Facebook and I have a couple of questions. First, I keep coming back to Facebook UID scraper/extractors, the problem is I also keep reading about a 5k a day limit imposed by Facebook. Even on an official video description Social Lead Freak recommends only uploading 5k new custom audience members every 48 hours. That would take along time to build a decent sized audience.

Which brings me to my second question. If it is true that only 2.5k custom audience members can be uploaded daily, then there must be other ways to target ads better. Mainly I have been narrowing by precise interest, say 300-500k, and then segmenting by age. While I have been able to get some good feedback this way I am still targeting 70-100k segments at a time that seem pretty broad.

I am going to be trying other angles to market based of geography and interest but know I am missing a lot on how to target niches better.

    Hi Larkin, not sure if you already use this but i use a great simple software called Targeted Lead Finder which allows you to target your niche by FB groups, pages and event, andf then easily export the details for your custom audiences. You can read more about it here if you are interested:

      What about the supposed limits on custom audience uploads; as I mentioned in OP, I have read that you can only upload 5k new custom audience members every 48 hrs unless you want to run the risk of getting slapped from facebook?
