What can I do against Squidoo?

Squidoo locked two of my lenses last month because they were created with articles already posted elsewhere - due to 'low quality content'. I immediately added new content to both lenses. One of them was unlocked, but THEY FORGOT to unlock the other one for one entire month, as they said when I wrote them a message complaining about this reason, in the end of the last month.

Yesterday they locked two of my 82 lenses. Only one of them had content not original at all. I added more content and I send them a message telling them so, and also explaining that the other lens was locked by mistake, since it contains original content, besides also having articles published at my blog and ezinearticles. Today they locked another lens with mixed content, which I had rewritten, so the content is new.

They are ignoring my messages, and I don't know when they will unlock these lenses. Their system is making mistakes, but they don't answer my messages.

Squidoo is abusing of its power and making serious mistakes.

Is there justice online? How can a company be so rude, unfair, and irresponsible?

The funny thing is that all my lenses are not about internet marketing - a topic Squidoo hates lately - but about self-help, mental health, and social issues. The only lens I created about internet marketing was a lens about how to create perfect Squidoo lenses!!

They shouldn't treat me this way, but they are ignoring my problems. What can I do?

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.

Echo #2 . Best option for you would be to get your own hosting and domain name so you can do as you wish with your articles.

I understand this fact, but they are doing many things that are against the general marketing laws. They should be punished.

Pretty funny comment there! Thanks for the chuckle. How do you propose to "punish" them? And why do you want to market on a site that you don't like?

Squidoo exist to make money for Squidoo.

They lock lenses all the time (it's their ball and they tell you you're not playing) as they have every right to do.

That's the risk you take and the price you pay for using "free" resources to get your message across.

Get a domain name and hosting and YOU'LL control what gets published and what doesn't

      Punished? General marketing laws?

      What are you talking about?

It is a private business. They can do what they want with their site.

TBH you are pi$$ing against the wind in thinking they are doing things against "general marketing laws". They arent a marketing medium so how can they be going against general marketing laws, btw on their own site.

The only thing to do would be to enquire as to why they locked your lenses.

If you broke their TOS then they have an out, if you are sure you followed their TOS to the letter then email them back.

Otherwise chalk it down to experience and move on.

Theres only gonna be one winner from any battle you have with them.

I suggest you move on from Squidoo.

The party is over and it's time to leave. Don't waste any more of your time and effort on this forlorn website.

You could do worse than grab yourself a blogger blog. Google could cut you off but I am sure they will have a better reason than those Squidoo offer.

Build a site and compete with squidoo. This is the only way you can do anything against them..

      John,

That really is the essence of the problem, right there.

There are an amazing number of people online who believe that it is someone else's obligation to provide them exposure and resources, at the other person's expense. They also believe that refusal to continue doing so after any sort of initial foothold is an injustice that must be punished.

As Paul said - don't get anything for granted. It's their website, their rules.

You either play by their rules, or GTFO->

Save your energy, you can do nothing about it
And build your own site on purchased hosting, or at least get it on parallel to be on safer side
