Low Newsletter Opt In Rate From Facebook

I made a page in facebook to compliment one of my websites. I have been posting 4 or 5 times a day. A couple I originate, a couple come from an app I use at this time.

I have been offering a free report offer when they sign up for my newsletter. I get likes to the newsletter posts. There have been a variety of pictures, lately with my ebook cover featured for the report.

I have advertised for likes and have 2,271 likes today. However, there have only been a few newsletter sign ups.

Are there any suggestions for me about getting newsletter subscribers?

I expected more out of these efforts from the way all the "sellers" talk about their products to help you market on facebook and how much they are making from facebook. I got up this morning questioning whether it is worth continuing this page.

Thanks.

Don't advertise for likes, advertise for conversions. A newsfeed ad linking to an opt-in page with a conversion tracking pixel should work for this, but don't choose the default bid because it will be high.

Hi Dan, thanks for the info. I was following someones instructions, but could see it was not working, at least for me with this niche.

I am new at facebook marketing. I have done one newsfeed ad so far, and at that time thought it looked like it was best to not send it back to the post / page, but directly to a site so I could capture an email.

I will look into this further and I will have to look into the conversion tracking pixel instructions.

I too am having a similar problem with attracting paid subscribers to my newsletter. In my sales funnel I first offer a relevant freebie. This gets them onto my list, but I still cannot convert those into subscribers of my newsletter.
The Facebook Ads cost a small fortune.
