How can I make money from my facebook page

Hey guys,

I recently started a facebook page about basketball and I have about 800 likes right now. (not that much yet I know ) But I want to make some money from it. I tried selling clickbank products but they didn't convert. Do you guys have some other ideas to make money from it?

    What about trying a different kind of affiliate? Try selling basketballs, basketball t-shirts or maybe even tickets to games. I think that should work.

      Follow this. People on Facebook are there not to buy products but to be entertained. People have liked/followed your page because they have great interest on basketball.

      So first thing you need to do is make ads that doesn't seem to be ads. Then yes, I agree with the comment above, sell only related products to your niche.

      You can make big money with this, You have 800 likes that will get you 100% pure commisions overtime. I would say sign up for clickbank (google it) then promote a basketball product, Then on the facebook page create a review of the product. You then send them to an affilate link that you got from clickbank for the basketball product. It will be a great source of income.

      No offence mate, but if you threw thousands of dollars at FB ads and didn't make a sale, it wasn't because of the FB...

      My best traffic comes from the FB, plain and simple. Also, besides FB ads, why not boosted posts? I find that those convert better anyways (people HATE regular FB ads).

    You may want to set up a squeeze page or fangate on your facebook page.
    Try and get them to opt-in with a bribe so you can follow up with emails.

    If you don't want to go with the clickbank route.
    See if you can get special deals with merchandise vendors. Then offer these deals
    to your fanpage. You could set up a 'like campaign' to get more targeted attention.

    Amy Porterfield has some great free videos on how to build a list with facebook. She uses FB ads, though, but she teaches how to target them and exactly what to say and what to do (i.e. have a squeeze page either inside or outside of FB, etc)

    I recommend you watch her videos if you haven't already. She's brilliant with FB ads.

    Try CPA offers having to do with basketball. Just make sure that the advertiser allows social traffic.

    There is actually a plenty of ways
    The main theme should be getting them on your email list

    You can get someone to make and ebook like " Top 1000 best Basketball Hoops of all time"
    Or "Life of top 20 basketball players" or something like that
    Then use that book as freebie to get users on your email list

    You can also use youtube make couple of videos and use same ebook to grab even more opt in;s

    Please do not try to monetize your 800-1,000 likes pages. It won't happen unless you have an extremely targeted traffic, with extremely active fans, with extremely high payout product to make it all worth it.

    800 fans are nothing, especially with the current organic reach... just work on it, and let it go to at least 8,000-10,000+++ fans before you do anything. People always abandon spammy pages. Spamming when you have 800 fans will do no good.

    Antonio has the right idea, however I suggest you make a connection with Don Wilson (or try to) and learn from him. He is the undisputed master at the style of marketing you are doing.

    I also suggest buying his book FB Demystified as I did and learn how to get those 8,000 - 10,000 + fans someone else accurately told you to do.

    TeeSpring, Offervault, these are the types of places you should be looking. B-Ball shirts to a B-Ball crowd WILL sell.....

    In my case I had only 352 likes.. I wonder why several people like to advertise their product to my fan page.. I appreciate because i can get money.. those real facebook users target from USA and UK.. I din not buy fake likes

    I have monetized Fan Pages before using Amazon products and that has worked very well.

    As long as they are quality, "engaged" Fans then it will work. Ask questions on your page - engage your audience, post regularly.
    Then, once you get your page active and engaging, and they are used to you posting regulaly, then they will respond better to Amazon Products etc.

    Amazon can be low commission, but the good thing is that they are cookied for a couple of days or so, which means if they buy anything else from Amazon over the next 2 or 3 days then you still get the commission - regardless of what it is.

    You can create an online store selling a wide range of basketball equipment, accessories, shirts, shoes and so on. Or maybe you can rent your fanspage on friends or other people who want to promote the merchandise through your fanspage.

    Clickbank, facebook ads or selling related products using your facebook page are few options for making money using your facebook page. However, just 800 likes are not a big deal. You need more likes and followers. If you are good in creating & promoting facebook page try out with freelancer as an alternative.

    As some have advised, build your fans some more. I would about 10,000. Be engaging with your fans. Don't just throw links on there are the time. You have a passionate niche that you could monetize with different things, CPA, t-shirts, Clickbank. I'm in a similar niche. Also, you should be building your list as well, not just fans, but your own list. Good luck!

    Where did those 800 Likes come from? If they are targeted and interested in what you are selling, then they will be more willing to engage with you further which will lead to a sale. Not all Likes are created equal.

    I rarely get sales directly from a post on my Facebook Pages and I have some with up to 50,000 Likes. The trick is to send ads to your fans who are targeted and get them to subscribe to your list. Once they optin, it is a game changer. You can try to get sales directly from FB, but I find that getting the optin is much more effective.

    It is all in the way you build your fan page-you can use static html to install a web page, and of course your email optin form-you can also get an RSS feed to post affiliate posts (say from ebay, amazon) drip posting 1-2 a day-source something novel to do with Basketball, like a special ball, or a basketball desk kit, and run a competition-they have to go to a fangate to enter the comp-collect emails, post videos, stories, build the community then you can start sales-if you want to know about RSS feeds and affiliate feeds you need my book.

    Way more likes are needed, I believe, before beginning any sort of monetizing. How many FB friends do you have? I have a technique to build a steady stream of friend requests coming in.. and of the friends that I DO accept, I TRADE "likes" with them (assuming they have a fan page) or simply show them mine and ask if they plan to create one... saying that I'll like theirs if they decide to create one. They usually say "ok" and "like" mine right then and there... even if they don't have a page of their own yet.

    Up at the top in the description area I'd put a link to an opt-in page... and my goal would be to consistently create quality content for my fan page, and getting my friends to share

    If you have all the organic likes and people who are interested in basket ball related stuff, then I am sure you can earn from Facebook pages.

    Try affiliate marketing for different products related to basket ball. Put reviews and take user to that URL.

    Try reaching out to other Basketball Fan Page Owners. Be social with your page as well. With your PPC were you using a Dark Post? Were you collecting names and emails prior to sending over to the affiliate product? You can definitely gain some traction make sure to target your PPC campaigns a little more effectively. Are there any magazines or celebrities that you could tap into? Drill down a little more. You will get it.
