Targeting Facebook ads at people with a particular name?

Hi guys, I'm hoping you might be able to lend a quick hand?

Sorry if I'm missing something really obvious, but I'm wondering how I might go about targeting ads at people with a particular name?

For example if I want to target ads at people called 'David', or with the last name 'Johnson'

I realise I'll need to create a custom audience, but I'm not sure where to scrape the UIDs from? Should I be using Social Lead Freak (this doesn't quite seem to get the job done) or graph search somehow?

    Hey Natino, if u want to conduct custom searches, Graphsearch is the way to go. Programs like Lead Freak, or Lead Chef are good for scraping fanpages and groups, but useless when it comes to custom searches. There are many good graphsearch scrappers like Leadjacker or FB Graphscraper, which are relatively easy to use. If u're not sure what to do, attend to a professional to create a custom search sting and pull the Data u need. I've used this guy in the past with good results

      you might want to rethink your strategy as fb has started cracking down on ads targeting people based on surnames/names. they have recently updated their guidelines and restricted targeting based on names.

    Tismi is right. As of the 12th facebook is no longer allowing those kinds of ads to keep runing

    This is true. I have just been stung. Luckily I made 3.5K in 5 days before getting stung. All my custom audiences are now unusable (the names ones at least). It was fun while it lasted.

    That kills like 60% of my income in last 2 months...
    So what does that mean, all scrapping is gone?
    Where can I read more about that, any posts or articles? I have read guildlanes and as I can see all scrapping is bannable from now on?

      Seems as though Facebook are just as adept as Google at changing the rules of the game......I guess that's what keeps IM'ers innovating and coming up with new ideas to try to outsmart them!
