Facebook Promo Code/Coupon Question

I'm currently helping a local restaurant with their Social media, we are working on a promo to give anyone who likes their Facebook profile a coupon or promo code so they can come into the restaurant and get a free drink. I was wondering if anybody had any experience with this and could give me some advice. If you have done something like this before, what services have you used? How much did it cost? And which you would recommend using for this scenario?

I'm mainly concerned with two factors in choosing a service.

1. Price- Obviously we don't want to spend too much money just to give away free drinks.

2. Time/User-friendliness- We want something that is quick and easy to use. We don't want the restaurant staff having to spend all of their time confirming whether or not people actually participated in the promotion. We would prefer printable coupons to save the most time, but I'm not sure how much more that might cost.

Any information you can give would be extremely helpful, thanks!

Thanks for the help, but tracking Facebook likes isn't really the issue. We are trying to make it easy for customers to confirm that they have liked the Facebook page without needing a computer or smart phone.

You can do something called "Like Gating". There's this free app you can install into the restaurant's FB page.

With that, you can add a tab into the FB page and put up a content for non-fans, and another that will only be shown to those who have liked the page. In the latter, you can place your coupon code which will be the one people will take to the restaurant to get their free drink.

When you install this app, you will have a new tab added to the fb page and it will have its own URL, this is where you should send your target customers to. When they land on this url, if they have not yet liked the page, they will see the content for the non-fans. After clicking the Like button, your coupon code will be automatically revealed to them.

Cost: $0 (if you can create the promo image/content yourself)

And here's an example implementation of the app. The only difference with this one is that it takes the user to an optin page off of Facebook after clicking the Like button. But you don't have to set yours up this way.
