Suddenly FB "like" = "follow" too?!?

to mods: somehow, when I posted this before, it posted twice - and neither one posted properly.

I noticed that when I like a page now, the "follow" button gets clicked automatically.
If I want to *only* like a page and not follow it, I must click "like" then go back and UNCLICK "follow!"

Why?

    Maybe facebook just thought that it would be reasonable when you "like" a page, you'd want to keep up-to-date with the page...

    yeah, but even having the "follow" checked still doesn't guarantee its updates will show up in your news feed. you will still have to check "get notifications" under the like button dropdown.

    So I think that follow button there doesn't really make sense anymore.
