Need your help planning my social media startegy

Hi everybody,

I've recently built an online store for my paintings (mypaintingstore.com)
and I'm now planning the strategy for driving traffic to my site. The social media seems to be an important part of the art world business and the possibilities are endless so I feel pretty confused, not sure how to do it right.

Thought of starting with Facebook - I can build a fan page but have no clue on how to bring the right, targeted audience. I also understand that advertising on facebook can be very pricy, and not advertising - using it just for free is not that efficient. If anyone have an advice where or from who I can learn this subject (without having to pay 300$ before I start - found many people that are willing to teach for very high prices) I'd be grateful. Pinterest also seems like a good option but again - how do you do it right not wasting too much time/money?

DO you think these options are right for an online art store?
How would you promote?
Where should I begin?

I don't mind investing time and money, just don't want to waste it on the wrong strategies.
I also know there is alot of info here on the forum - but it's a bit too much information for me - I get really overwhelmed when I see all these posts and it's hard to understand what to do...

will appreciate your advice:-)

    Hi Micky,

I recently had same questions, I have been using two sites which have made all this simple. Firstly you need some starting traffic in order to be able to invest more heavily in advertising. I would recommend using Fans Blaster HQ | Buy Facebook likes | Twitter or Instagram Followers | Youtube Views and get yourself some initial social boosting (without this people are just gonna look at your page and see a low amount of followers & likes etc and lose interest) Once you have the initial set up (I would recommend 5000 facebook likes & 5000 twitter followers - this creates you an initial market)

I also found some great tools through some web marketing strategy guides, i stumbled across Discount Sign Up | Marketing Package (looks like an amateur website) however the company that actually sell the products retail at a much higher price than this referral option so take advantage (I am still learning some of the tools but I am now within just 2 months covering all my overhead costs which at the moment are sat at $780 p/m (aggressively advertising on buysellads.com and using Fans Blaster HQ | Buy Facebook likes | Twitter or Instagram Followers | Youtube Views to feed both twitter and facebook) and I am now returning on top of my overheads a decent $1300 profit, My traffic has increased considerably since using these methods. Hope this works for you too, take care!

George, thanks for your answer - but is it really a good thing to have so many artificial likes and views? I'm not sure at all that it can be beneficial in the long term.

        Hi Micky,

Of course you want your business to bring in natural likes and views long term, otherwise whats the point? However what you are trying to create is that initial impression to your customer. For example your looking at two businesses offering same service, one has 5000 followers/likes, the other a few hundred. Which do you put your trust in? The idea of the service is simply to create a kick start for your business and give the initial impression that other people are also interested. I'm sure your art work is of good quality, however unfortunately this is not always enough on its own. I know I have used this technique to kick start a number of businesses on the net, and works everytime. This is not the long-term strategy but an incredible starting one. After that i would suggest investing in a professional SEO company once you have $$$ coming in and then possibly look at banner advertisment space on sites that have similar topics to yours. Let me know if you need more info, hope this helps

Sorry also forgot to mention, the likes/views are genuine profiles and not bots, I used a couple of other companies before finding fansblasterhq and the quality was terrible, easy to notice they were fake/botted. I have used FansBlasterHQ several times now for different sites and not only does it boost your reputation but it generates so much needed traffic initially too whilst your site is building reputation with google SEO ranks.

I would start off running Facebook ads and try and start that way, then you can run giveaways.

    Micky,

Whatever you do DONT buy fake Facebook likes and followers.

George has no idea what he's talking about - well actually he does, he's trying to sell you some fake fans and followers.

It will ruin your organic reach and page engagement and you'll be shooting yourself in the foot. You need fans that are going to engage with your content (like, comment, share). That means real fans that are passionate about what you’re posting. You ONLY EVER WANT REAL followers / fans. The more people that engage with your posts – the more of your fans that will actually see those posts.

And don't worry if you start a paid ad campaign on Facebook in order to build up your fan base, and you’re the only person that likes your page to begin with.

So long as you've got several appealing posts on your fan page before you begin you WILL get people becoming fans and it will build from there.

People are going to like your page due to the content posted, not because you’ve got 5k fake fans.

    Best…

Fully agree with Duncan on this one! I bought FB likes when I first started out and to be honest I have never had any interaction at all from them. Total waste.

I did a test ad for likes for a day and got myself 230 likes for around $15 which I didn't think was that bad really. Considering from there I have been able to get them to like and share and have since built up hundreds more organic fans. As long as you are providing interesting and valuable content!

PS: The only people that will give you REAL fans are Facebook themselves by advertising with them through the correct channels. And keep in mind you'll get all "fake fan sellers" telling you these are "Real Fans" - "Not Bots" - "Not Fake Profiles" etc. but they always are.

A good way to build organic likes is through a 'facebook like campaign'.
It could be a special discount for your products or something to gain exposure to
your fanpage. Depends on the angle you choose.

There are 2 options to pay from. Pay per 1000 impressions or pay per click.
Work out which one is cheapest for your strategy.

    Best of luck

Hi mckyl, seems your problem is not new here.. if your willing to learn, then you can earn extra money online. here the step..
if you market your products on facebook.. create a simple fan pages located to the country with the product involve. once you have done creating your fan pages, facebook give you 5000 credits allow you to invite people via emails, Now.. finding people on facebook is very simple.. if your niche is "lose fat" or "burn fat" you can search on facebook using this keywords: {fine all people who like "lose fat" from florida,} or any place you target.. facebook deliver you a constant result to people who likes to the product.. then harvest all user data on their and send an invitation... I suggest you to Buy Facebook Accounts | Buy Facebook Pva Accounts | Facebook Pva and build a massive list within 3 months.. if you have atleast 100 facebook accounts you will be a successful man.. this very simple strategy to get started.

If you have lot of HQ images you can still get good amount of traffic from pinterest
And the niche you have might go well with pinterest
Remember in this strategy followers don't matter

Just have couple of images on single page, the more images you have the more better

Then just start pinning your images on a single board, and always pin to this board, so you can build authority

Pin like 20+ images in one instance and then wait for 2-3 days

Than again pin to same board 20+ images. and again wait 2-3 days

Keep repeating after a month or so you will start seeing some good surge of traffic, but this strategy does not works all time, some times it does very well, sometimes it does not goes well

So better keep this strategy in parallel to some other
Because this one will hardly take a Hour/week
And if it goes well it is really worth it

Wow, thanks everybody!! Some great advice here! definitely going to implement the strategies of building a campaign, not buying fake likes and using Pinterest. BTW - any recommendations on what budget per day to start with when I first checking it out (the trial and error campaign?)

It's easy to rank any fan pages as long you're doing the set up correctly. In my case i used gray accounts , a profiled Facebook account with real 5k friends and migrate them to a business page. Considering converting your fan instantly into fans thus implementing proper structure and set up with keyword stuffing to all the the info's within your page. And frequency on updates to posting matters as well, must see to it add your prefered keyword on every post as well. Hoe this helps.
