Pinterest question: Liking pins of our products.

I just set up a Pinterest account and am trying to figure out the best way for us to reach new followers without being offensive.

I went though and followed all of my and my wifes "real" friends from Facebook who are in out target demo. It hasn't done much so far, we might have to prod them a little directly.

By searching I figure there are probably somewhere around 8-10,000 pins and repins of our products. Last week we had one pin that got about 1300 repins and drove some great traffic our way, which is what really showed us we needed to be there.

I tried something this morning that I can't find anything about good or bad on any of the Pinterest help pages. I took about 100 of the 1300 repins and liked them, I figured they have already shown interest. Doing that would show them we are there, and acknowledge that we appreciated their pin. But of course now if you look at our likes all that comes up is the same thing over and over.

Good idea, bad idea, very bad idea?

Thanks.

Personally I believe it's a good idea, and your thoughts are correct that people will feel acknowledged that you appreciate their pin.

Please use paragraphs next time you use the forums, as your message was really hard to read.

Bad idea, with all those similar pins on your like page some pinners might think that there is something wrong with this profile, like he is using bot or something

Just stick with pinning, and i think that your pins are being ranked for your keyword that is why you are getting that many repins,
Just keep up with it and keep pinning, also pin some general pins (not from your site) in between , just to gather more interest of pinners
