I ran a small test the other day with promoted tweets. Twitter was showing 60 clicks in their analytics. Zero showing in google analytics on my site.

Not pleased.

I like FB more than twitter.FB is simple to use, it can help people to advertisement for business.Twitter can do so but most of the peole use FB.I think in FB any discussion is effective.

Hey Michael, I usually use Twitter because that's where my customers are.
I have a B2B business - I target CEOs, Business Owners and Marketers. These people are more likely to retweet, tweet back and favourite tweets than spend time on Facebook (I always felt like there's more social interaction on Twitter than on Facebook).

Just my 2 cents

If you need some help or guidance on Twitter, send me a PM (though I might not answer quickly: I can only send 5 messages every 60 minutes ).

Also, if you decide to go on Twitter, I would suggest you to download SocialBro (chrome extension) and read a bit about it before using it. It's an awesome tool that will help you follow/unfollow the right people on Twitter (not follow inactive people, follow influencers, etc.)

Twitter is amazing for conversion and click thorugh as long as you have the right followers. Gain followers who engage in your tweets and you will be amazed at the results. Far higher clickthrough than facebook from experience.

Hi Michael, everything is profitable if you know the strategies for both haha .. okay, I would prefer Facebook than Twitter, why not?, You would have to know how people play Facebook and Twitter. Well when you share something on facebook then you will wait for a response from your friend if she likes what you share or comment, especially if what you share a lot of comments and a lot of people will feel like it is there, waiting for reply from each of these comments, and it will become a popular news on your homepage. In contrast to Twitter while you share, 1 second and then a lot of the other Tweets popping up, most people in the play, and status updates Twitter just leave it alone. But both are still good and have the advantage.

I like twitter. I think most of the people of twitter are special and well known. But FB follower are ordinary people.FB also like because its easy to use for simple person. So from different test of different people both are good for social networking.

i like Facebook mostly.

But you can do it by twitter also.

The difference it, Facebook has more common use and more viewers, user and easy to get traffic.

But if you a celebrity, then i suggest, twitter is the best social marketing place.

The only limit at Twitter is the character limit itself, if you've got proper tools you can gain an IMMENSE amount of traffic daily for sure

In my opinion Twitter is an untapped market. I agree that you can learn more about a prospect from Facebook (especially with Facebook Graph Search), however, if you use the Twitter Search in the right way, it is easy to find potential prospects.

One thing I would say, if you are using Twitter is to have an arsenal of tools and offers to provide. Just having one product, you may find it difficult to match prospect to product...

Play around with it, but there are a lot less people selling on Twitter the marketplace is a lot easier to tap into!!

Test and trial, there are people out there making a success of it, never say never!
