First of all, I would definitely recommend you to split the ages. If you advertise straight to 28-50 (both male and female) it's a too big targeting. Try splitting them in different ad campaigns like 28-33, 34-39, 40-45, 46-50, etc.

Also, you should test multiple ad campaigns to find high converting ones. This will lower your CPC and therefore higher your ROI%.

    Good luck!

Agreed, some good advise and pretty much what I would of said. Narrow down your target audience, test, test and test again. Once things are going well then expand your range and target.

        Great advice already.
What I would suggest is to also make sure you are using the Power Editor plugin with Chrome browser. It will assist you in narrowing down your target audience and also with split testing. The learning curve can be quite steep, but it's well worth it. If you have problems getting started with it, there are loads of free articles on how to use it, if you Google it. Good luck.

One question what about my targeting interest , is good to target interests base d on weight loss? or try it with broad and concentrate just on age groups.

Narrow it down. I would go with just women, as more will work with their weight than men in my experience.

The best ad I have so far, I used 6 pictures and tested against each other, then another 6 against themselves.

Batch two - one of those was the best and got me a good number of clicks at a reasonable price.

That ad was good for about 3 days, then I got less clicks. But I retired it, and used again about a week later and it did well for 3 days again.

Also think who else may be interested in weight loss, but you don't reach them through weight loss or health. What else do people do or want, that might be interested in losing some weight? Run through 5 dollars and see where you are at. (Those probably would not cost as much to advertise to).

To get more sales, try more out of the box and open campaigns. You are going against some heavy hitters that can afford to spend a lot with the settings you used for your campaign. You chose good targeting settings which is what they do also. Try a lot of smaller campaigns using stories of weight loss in a promoted post or a squeeze page targeted on really random categories as well as weight loss and related categories like eating healthy etc.

Some of the heavy hitting weight loss clients are getting conversions for as low as $2 each with average conversions around $20 to $40 using promoted posts to people that are NOT fans of the page.
